This was a wonderful place to stay! It was clean, cozy, updated, and had everything you could possibly need. The location was perfect being so close to the Maquoketa Caves and everything downtown. The beds were comfortable, kitchen and amenities there were spectacular, and everything was easy to use. It was a fantastic spot to stay and my children were sad that we only came for one night - they said they’d love to live there.

The house was very well updated and was immaculately clean. The attention to detail throughout the home was very clear. The beds were very comfortable. We won’t hesitate to stay there again. The only minor downside to the home is the proximity to a road which gets some traffic in the early morning hours.

Very nice home, very comfortable surroundings. Location was very near downtown area and excellent restaurants. Air conditioning was highly effective. Beds were comfortable and bathrooms clean and well supplied. Kitchen was well stocked. Especially enjoyed the front porch. Excellent grill and patio. Loved everything about our stay, would stay there again. Highly recommend.

Our group of five, three adults and two teenagers, stayed here in July 2026. We found the property to be exactly as listed if not better. There is ample room for the individuals to find space or for the everyone to come together. The furnishings were nice, comfortable, and plentiful. Everything needed to make the stay complete was included. The kitchen appeared to be recently remodeled with professional grade cabinets and appliances and was fully furnished including coffee, spices, and all the utensils needed to make a meal. The property is easy walking distance to one of the main shopping areas in Maquoketa and just a few minutes drive from everywhere else in the area. We happened to be in the area during the Jackson county fair and while we did hear some outside noise from the fairgoers it was barely noticeable.

This is by far the nicest vacation rental we've ever stayed at. Every little thing was considered. The coffee and creamer in the kitchen was such a nice touch. We didn't have to go out to just buy coffee. It is in a great location with beautiful views of downtown. Every inch of the house is cozy and inviting. The host was very helpful and had many recommendations for already attractions. We highly recommend staying here, and if we're ever in the area again, we will choose to stay here.

This was the second time we stayed at a property owned by Robert. In both cases, the rentals were beautifully restored historic homes. Everything was clean and comfortable. Robert communicates clearly and concisely. We would definitely rent with Robert again.
