The house was amazing! It was very clean, and the furniture was beautiful and very comfortable. We loved the seating areas in the two bedrooms, and the fact that each bedroom had an outside door with a key. The lighting was very soothing. We liked the fact that there was a lamp in every bedroom and every sitting area. We also liked that there was a trashcan in every bedroom and every bathroom. Also, it helped to have Kleenexes in every room and every bathroom. The kitchen was pretty well stocked. it just needs some tongs. We loved the dog and the peacock. The setting was absolutely beautiful. We used one of the fire features on the patio and we were pleased that there was one on the covered deck up on the hill. We enjoyed walking around the property, including the creek and the pond. The host answered our questions quickly when we had a signal. When the electricity went off, we ended up driving into town to get a signal to ask about if she knew when it would be back on. We will try to book another stay at this house because it was wonderful!

Hi Renee, Thank you so much for such a thoughtful and detailed review—it truly means a lot to us. We’re so glad you enjoyed the home, especially the comfort of the bedrooms, the lighting, and all the little touches throughout the space. We’ve tried to be really intentional about making it feel both relaxing and functional, so it’s wonderful to hear that came through during your stay. It also makes us so happy that you were able to enjoy the property itself—the creek, pond, and surrounding landscape are some of our favorite parts of Peace Valley. And of course, we’ll be sure to pass along the love to the dog and peacock—they take their hosting duties very seriously 😊 Thank you as well for the helpful note about the kitchen—we’ll make sure to add tongs right away. We do appreciate your patience with the temporary power outage and limited signal. Being in a more remote setting is part of what makes Peace Valley so peaceful, but we know it can come with occasional challenges, and we’re always working to improve the experience for our guests. We would absolutely love to host you again anytime—thank you again for choosing to stay with us. Warmly, Anna

I split my time between Atlanta and our family property, Peace Valley Sanctuary, a place that’s been in our lives for decades. My brother and I grew up visiting these hills, and now we’re the lucky ones who get to share them with guests from all over.

When I’m here, you’ll usually find me walking the trails with our dog Oskie, checking on the cabins, or enjoying a porch swing with a cup of coffee. Hosting lets me share the parts of life that still move at a gentler pace—fresh air, quiet mornings, starry nights, and that feeling you get when you’re far enough away from everything that your shoulders finally drop.

We love welcoming guests who want to slow down, reconnect with nature, or simply have a peaceful landing spot between adventures.

Why they chose this property

We chose Caddo Gap and the Ouachita foothills because this stretch of Arkansas still feels wonderfully untouched. Peace Valley sits in a quiet, natural pocket surrounded by forests, streams, and open sky—yet you’re close enough to Hot Springs, Glenwood, and local trails to make exploring easy.

The area has a calm rhythm to it: hummingbirds in spring, crisp stargazing at night, deer wandering through the trees, and miles of nature that invite you to breathe a little deeper. It’s a place where you can unplug without giving up comfort, and that mix is exactly why we love it here.

What makes this property unique

Peace Valley Sanctuary is set on more than 70 acres of private, forested land, with cabins and suites tucked into the landscape so each space feels like its own retreat. Guests have access to our spring-fed pond for kayaking or rowing, walking trails, shaded creek areas perfect for wading, and plenty of wildlife—our free-ranging deer and peacocks included.

It’s quiet, scenic, and intentionally simple in all the right ways. You can watch the sun rise over the pond, sip coffee on a porch surrounded by trees, or end the day under a truly dark sky. Every building has its own personality, but all share the same modern-rustic comfort and connection to nature.

It’s the kind of place where people come for a weekend and leave already planning their next visit.
