About this property

'IslandView' The Perfect Holiday Home

'IslandView' is a fabulous, large home set on one level with magnificent breezes overlooking Hideaway Bay, the Gloucester Passage and Whitsunday Islands views that you will rave about. Watching the Sunrise over the ocean is a thrill to behold and Sunset from the beach at Monte's Reef Resort or Gloucester Eco Resort is something not to be missed. One of the rare places in Australia where you can see the Sun set over the ocean. Photographers heaven where the bird life will keep you captivated.

The space

Access is via a small set of steps at the front of the house. For wheelchair access the house can be entered through the garage. All bedrooms are large with King, Queen & 2 Long Singles (zipped together they make a King.) The combined lounge/dining area also has a Queen size Sofa Bed for children only. All linen is provided. The kitchen is fully equipped with utensils, cooking equipment, dishwasher (powder satchet's provided) along with wash cloths, detergent, tea towels and rubbish bags. The laundry has a front loader washing machine and a dryer. Laundry powder satchet's are provided. The wall mounted clothes line is outside the laundry door. A 55" Smart TV is fitted to the wall of the lounge room, so if you wish to bring a hard drive or USB you can view your movies or music etc.

Guest access

The entire house is available to guests other than locked owner cupboards and one space in the double garage. At some times of the year the mandarin tree is in full fruit and we would love our guests to take advantage of this by enjoying these flavoursome treats.

Interaction with guests

As much as we would love to greet our guests personally, we live on the Sunshine Coast so are just a phone call away if our guests require advice on anything. We also have a handyman available at Hideaway Bay if needed.

Other things to note

'IslandView' is on tank water so it is appreciated when our guests take this into consideration. 2 large rubbish bins are provided in the garage for items from the kitchen bin. These can be emptied at the Dingo Beach Refuse Tip approximately half way on the right to Dingo Beach. All rubbish is to be removed from the premises prior to vacating.

The views were amazing from the front of property.. really big comfortable house.. 2 Adults and 3 kids fit super easy.. was nice quite town and not to far from all the essentials..felt like you had the beaches to yourself most the time. A heap of hidden little gems around. a few nice restaurants and pubs within a 5 min drive..very relaxing would definitely stay again.

Hideaway Bay

House is gorgeous with all the amenities to bake a cake, cook your favourite meals. Views are stunning and the local beaches are beautiful. We relaxed and refreshed. Our dog loved the swimming as did I. I recommend very highly and plan to visit again soon..

this is the cleanest place we have ever stayed! A great location and a magnificent view! Everything required to cook a meal was here. Also lots of little added touches. Beds were very comfy, towels thick & soft (tempted to give one star so no one else would stay!) We will definitely be staying again. It was hard to leave when our stay was up. Thank you for such a wonderful place.

The perfect 'hydeaway'

Congratulations to Shirley on the presentation of 'Island View'. So clean, spacious, comfortable, with all the necessaries to enjoy our stay. Liked the coastal theme of the house too, blended in beautifully with that stunning ocean view. We all spent many hours just relaxing on the patio enjoying that vista. It was very relaxing walking around the exposed sands and rock pools at low tide. Our young blue heeler loved it too. The perfect ocean view! The perfect getaway!

Relaxing Stay - One of the Best

We have just completed our third or forth stay at "Islandview" and everyone of them has been absolutely great. Hideaway Bay is a quiet, tranquil location where you can unwind completely. Shirley made us feel welcome (including our Bassets (Elroy & Phoebe) by providing immaculate & spacious accommodation, overlooking the Pacific ocean. We spent most of our time sitting on that expansive front patio, which is inviting from the moment you awake. The home is fully equipped, meaning that you only need to travel lightly to the destination. Highly recommend a visit. We will be returning many more times.

Extended Family holiday

WOW!! This property was even more than the photos showed, and Shirley is the most considered host I have come across in a long time. We shared the house with another couple, there was plenty of space - the deck our favorite with its magnificent views, the deck also hosted a few evenings with our extended family (4 families) comfortably. A property that we will stay again in. Thanks, Shirley, for being a great host and providing all the extra comforts to make our stay amazing!

Perfect 'Hideaway' for a genuine R & R break

Absolutely stunning ocean views in peaceful surrounds about 40 minutes drive north of Airlie Beach. Well presented, very spacious, comfortable, clean and well equipped holiday home that welcomes pets too. Lovely welcoming bottle of wine from the owners who were great to deal with. We loved the large deck area and spent many an hour there reading books and relaxing. Easy stroll to be beach which our spoodle loved, particularly at low tide. Options for casual meals/drinks at Dingo Beach and the two resorts on the other side of the hill which are well worth a visit at sunset. We were blessed with the most amazing weather during our stay too - not too hot and very little wind. Highly recommend for anyone looking to 'Get Away from it All'

Just simply beautiful

The photos on properties can be very different in real life, not the case here. No hidden surprises other than the home , the inclusions in the home, and that view, all together they make for the most perfect holiday. Hydeaway Bay is a very hidden gem, definitely not for anyone that wants to be in the thick of it, but perfect for reconnecting with the beautiful state that we live in,and what it has to offer. Shirley thankyou so much from the bottom of our hearts. A holiday to remember. P.s thankyou for our turtle it is now at home .
