About this property
BEACHFRONT HOUSE IN PLOCKTON; 3 Beds; Long Stay, 50% Discount; near Isle of Skye
This beachfront property with it's Home Office and fast internet looks out on one of the most iconic and much-photographed views in the West Highlands of Scotland, 15 minutes from the Isle of Skye, in the picturesque village of Plockton, a world-famous tourist destination with award-winning bars and restaurants offering great local produce and entertainment year-round. The Scottish National Centre of Excellence in Traditional Music is based in Plockton.
This picture-postcard village, referred to as "The Jewel of the Highlands" is nestled around a sheltered arm of the Atlantic Ocean, with numerous palm trees due to the warmth of the Gulf Stream, and an excellent base for walking, cycling, climbing, kayaking, with an active sailing club and the favourite anchorage of very many yachts. The property has its own deep-sea mooring.
The location is a very sheltered position with a sun-trap rear garden surrounded by mature trees and hedges, and the much-photographed front garden descends to the beach with rose beds and a lawn, giving access to the raised wooden deck at the water's edge, with table and chairs and unrestricted views of the loch and scenery beyond.
The village social life is hugely enjoyed in its TWO PUBS and its three restaurants plus the village shop and gift shop, and an important convenience factor is that the property is only 5 minutes from the railway station with regular trains connecting to Inverness/Edinburgh/London.
This property is available with a preferance for long-stay guests with a 50% discount.
