The property was very private and quiet. It was close the Devils Den where we needed to be. The outside was nice with the fire box. Enjoyed our stay.

Thank you so much, Kathy. It was truly a joy to host you all. Your visit happened to fall during Women’s Month, and having such gracious, thoughtful women here felt especially meaningful. The way you cared for the home — including washing the bedding before departure — touched me more than you know.
I’m so glad the farm offered you a peaceful place to return to each day, and I can’t wait to welcome you back and share the progress as the sanctuary continues to grow. It was an honor to host you.
Warmly,
Kimberly
Host was very comminicative. Stay was most enjoyable with every need anticipated and provided for, including breakfast muffins! The fenced dog yard was perfect and had lovely seating areas under the oak trees.
We only stayed the night after visiting Kirby's Family Farm. The beds & pillows were so soft and relaxing. It also had a gas fire table which the girls & I enjoyed and walked around the yard & found an old and new gopher tortoise holes by the back metal fence. It has a fence on either side of house mad out of cut trees on the property giving it a country look. It is a work in progress but still would HIGHLY staying there. Did not get any pictures but it is exactly like the pictures posted on this site. Thank you again Kim for allowing guest to stay in such a quiet & comfortable home with great commendations.

Alan and his wife were truly wonderful guests. Their communication was warm and easy, and they treated the home with great care. They were exceptionally gracious and understanding during their stay, and I’m deeply appreciative of their kindness. I would gladly welcome them back anytime.
Property was easy to find. Very clean & tidy. Absolutely love the rustic look outside. Only stayed overnight but met my expectations. Check in was easy as well as the check out process. Highly recommended.

Thank you so much, Kathryn. Your kind words mean a great deal, and I truly appreciate what a gracious guest you were throughout your stay. I’m glad the property was easy to find and that the rustic outdoor feel resonated with you. It’s wonderful to hear that everything met your expectations, even for a short visit.
It was a pleasure hosting you at Horse & Garden Farm, and you’re always welcome back whenever your travels bring you this way again.
What an amazing place! We came down as a group to get scuba certified at the Blue Grotto and needed a place to stay for the night. Kimberly was a great host and had great communication. The place is very clean and brand new. Having coffee on the back patio listening to the birds was a great way to start the day before our final dives. Our instructor has now favorited her place so he can try to use it every time he comes down. Will stay here again if we come back for more diving. Thanks for everything Kimberly!

About the host
Hosted by Kim McGuire
I’m Kimberly, the heart behind Horse and Garden Farm in Morriston, Florida. After moving here to these five wild acres, I’ve poured my energy into creating a sanctuary where people and nature thrive together. I love gardening, landscaping, and weaving projects that honor the land — from planting native species to building with timber harvested from the land, right here. Hosting guests is my way of sharing this journey: offering a place where you can rest, reconnect, and feel the quiet resilience of the land. Every stay is an invitation to experience the harmony between people, and the natural world.
Why they chose this property
I chose this neighborhood because it offers the perfect balance of peace and possibility. Horse and Garden Farm sits across the road from the Goethe State Forest, with its miles of trails for riding, hiking, and exploring. Just down the road are world-class equestrian destinations like Black Prong, HITS show grounds, and the World Equestrian Center, making this a hub for horse lovers and outdoor enthusiasts alike.
Beyond the equestrian world, the area is rich with natural wonders — Devils Den Springs, Rainbow Lake, and Crystal River are all nearby, offering opportunities for swimming, diving, and discovering Florida’s unique landscapes. What I enjoy most is the quiet rhythm of the neighborhood itself: five-acre parcels that feel tucked away from the bustle of overdevelopment, yet still just two miles from the convenience of a DG Market. It’s a place where guests can experience both retreat and connection, surrounded by beauty and possibility.
What makes this property unique
Family-Oriented Spirit At its heart, Horse and Garden Farm is family oriented. It’s a place built to welcome guests of all ages, offering space to gather, explore, and enjoy meaningful time together. The farm is meant to be both a retreat and a shared experience, where nature and family come together in a way that feels genuine and memorable.
