About this property
Magnolia Hall: Armstrong | 1/1, Private Ensuite Bath
Magnolia Hall: The Armstrong Suite | Natchez, MS
King Suite | Private Ensuite Bath w/ Walk-in Shower | Streaming TV | Heart of Historic Downtown
Nestled in the courtyard wing of a historic downtown mansion, built in 1858, the Armstrong Suite offers an intimate and cozy upstairs retreat that beautifully combines classic elegance with modern convenience. As our smallest suite, it's designed for comfort without compromising on style, featuring a plush King-sized bed adorned with luxurious linens. A tasteful mix of antique and reproduction furniture creates a refined, inviting atmosphere, while the vintage-inspired ensuite bathroom showcases a spacious walk-in shower.
The Armstrong Suite is equipped with all the modern amenities you need, including high-speed internet, an internet-connected smart TV, and a thoughtfully stocked coffee station. For added convenience, a mini fridge is included, and off-street parking ensures a smooth and secure stay.
Cozy, refined, and rich with history, The Armstrong Suite is our most intimate accommodation at 263 square feet. Named for Judge George W. Armstrong—a distinguished attorney, oilman, rancher, and civic leader—this suite honors the man who purchased the home in 1935 and helped shape its modern legacy. During the Armstrong era, the mansion served as a bustling boarding house until 1962. A year later, part of the property was deeded to the city of Natchez for the construction of a public library, while use of the remaining estate was granted to Trinity Episcopal Church for use as a school. In 1976, when the school outgrew the building, the Armstrong family made a lasting contribution by donating the home to the Natchez Garden Club's preservation arm, where it continues to serve as the organization's headquarters. The Armstrong Suite offers a peaceful retreat steeped in Southern heritage—perfect for guests seeking charm, comfort, and a deep connection to Natchez history.
