This Secluded 4 bedroom 2 bath Mountain Retreat, on a 5 acre parcel, is like renting your own Private State Park. The Cabin is within easy (4 minutes) walking distance to Slick Rock Mountains private 12 acre swimming and fishing lake! This 2 story family cabin comfortably sleeps 8. Upstairs is an open floor plan, living room/ kitchen/ dining room with King master bedroom and full bathroom. Downstairs is a 3 bedroom (queen, double, and trundle=2 twins) with another full bathroom and washer dryer. Also the downstairs has been recently remodeled with brand new wood tile flooring throughout. The cabin is loaded with all kinds of modern amenities, like flat screen televisions, wifi, huge fireplace and a well stocked kitchen!
The many porches give you an "in the woods getaway feel" and the outdoor fire pit, picnic tables, bbq grill and chairs make it a perfect summer camp for your family. We regularly have deer and White Squirrels all around the cabin.. pretty amazing wildlife :)
Slick Rock Mountain is a Private 350 acre mountain located in Brevard NC. This quiet, back to nature community, is perfectly located to enjoy DuPont state forest 6.8 miles away (where the movie Hunger Games was filmed) as well as Pisgah National Forest (10 miles) and the Blue Ridge Parkway. Brevard's slogan is "Land of Waterfalls" and for good reason, there are many amazing hikes to these beautiful waterfalls and many other outdoor activities for nature lovers young and old, from mountain biking, river rafting, horseback riding, hiking, fishing or just relaxing on the deck to watch a gorgeous sunset.

Beautiful cabin in the forest.

This is a beautiful cabin nestled in the forest. We enjoyed everything about it, inside and out. It was a short drive to all the waterfalls, covered bridges, shops, restaurants, and much more. It was very clean and very well furnished. Would definitely recommend!

This was the most stocked cabin we’ve ever stayed in. Great location in a peaceful wooded setting. The white squirrels were amazing to watch. Brevard is a beautiful area to explore. I would definitely recommend this cabin!

Great location!

The cabin is perfect for small and large groups. It is also easy to get to downtown Brevard and hiking trails while still giving you a secluded feel. The multiple porches are nice and the grill pit came in handy. We would definitely return!

Visiting our NC family.

We loved the peace and serenity of the rental, and this is our second year to stay there. The fishing is wonderful and the location allows for privacy but is convenient to restaurants, stores, and attractions. The only down side are the extreme VRBO fees, insurance, etc. Would be nice if trusted (returning) customers could be somewhat discounted on the fees.

Excellent Cabin and location!

This cabin is very nice- very clean, nice property, plenty of space. And the location was fabulous! Everyone in this private community was very friendly and my 14 year old son and his friends enjoyed their time at the cabin, the lake, and the surrounding areas! The owner was very helpful with all of my questions! Highly recommend!

Getaway in the Mountains

We had four guys come from various parts of the country to do some fly fishing on the Davidson and this place was perfect. The house if just far enough away from the main roads to provide that sense of getting away from it all and close enough to Brevard and the National Forest to easily get to the action. Fantastic rental and we will be back!
