Guests will find two queen beds, a comfortable set of bunk beds, and a twin sized Murphy bed, perfect for families or groups. The living room features a comfortable couch creating a relaxing space to unwind and read. With two bathrooms that include refreshing showers and a hair dryer, Whether you’re enjoying the cool air or warming up inside, this unique farmhouse offers a welcoming retreat out in the country with lots of books. Experience the magic of Caprock Canyon State Park Trailway through our private access. Clarity Tunnel is two and a half miles from our private access gate. Enjoy a leisurely walk to watch thousands of Mexican free tail bats leave the tunnel for their nightly feedings (seasonal). Rock hounds will love our colorful stones, collecting and making lasting memories in a truly magnificent out door setting. Come pet some goats and their friends, our Livestock guardian dogs.

We enjoyed our stay! Very secluded and private, short drive to Caprock Canyon, beautiful view of the night sky. Marie and was very easy to communicate with and even made a wonderful recommendation for a steak dinner at Hotel Turkey and it was excellent!

We loved the location of this house. On the ranch away from everything except goats, cows and two dogs, Billy and the very friendly female, Dixie. Goat pen was next to the house and they were fun to watch. Kitchen had everything we needed and the queen bed downstairs was comfortable. We sat outside and gazed at the Milky Way and saw several shooting stars. A little fine red sand on the floors, but that's the panhandle when dry.

We enjoyed our stay at the farm house. The resident bleating goat herd and handful of mooing cattle as well as the protector dogs, Dixie and Billy added to our visit. The beds were adequate, the house is roomy with extras like the washer and drier, a water softener, all the china and flatwareBe prepared to get your vehicle and shoes dusty as you drive in and out, open and close the gates, maneuver the bumpy road from the pavement to the house and take a quiet walk.Our host was very helpful. Enjoy your stay. We sure did.

It was remote with almost no light pollution. You'll seldom see brighter stars. It had everything we needed. Understand that it is remote, even for remote. The host was great to deal with. The housing is exactly as listed...a farmhouse far from the road. It was comfy, it was cozy. It didn't have the frills some would like to see in a stay but it was perfect for my wife and me. You wont find as much for so little anywhere near Caprock.

This is a great house rental on a working ranch. We traveled with our kids, who thoroughly enjoyed the dogs, goats, and cows. The kitchen is very well-stocked with any cooking staples you might need.If you are looking at rentals in this area, you shouldn't be surprised this is very off the beaten path and is not city living. It's a great way to access the state park and nearby rail trail.This was a great place to stay on a road trip and was a destination on its own.

It’s a beautiful place to visit with a very comfortable setting. I loved the goats and the sheep dogs. Dixie was such a sweet girl and was a great coffee partner with the sunrise. It is so cool that we could enter the trail to the tunnel from the property. The host was super helpful guiding us there.
