Welcome to Cozy Bear Cabin — a warm, peaceful retreat just 5 miles to the Nisqually entrance of Mt. Rainier National Park!

Ideal for hikers, couples, and small families, this 1-bedroom + loft cabin sleeps 4 and sits in a friendly neighborhood backing up to a quiet forest. A short walk (or drive) away, enjoy a community playground, park, and small lake perfect for fresh-air relaxation.

The cabin sits next door to a neighboring vacation rental which accommodates 7-guests (listing ID can be shared upon request) — perfect for larger groups traveling together. Let us know if you are interested!

Neighborhood Perks:

A short walk brings you to a community playground, park, and lake, offering peaceful spots to unwind or play. Please note: There is no lifeguard on duty. Swim at your own risk.

Guests have access to the entire cabin, yard, driveway and the nearby community lake/park.

There is a Tesla EV Charger J3400 (NACS) available to use free of charge for guests. It is located on the front side of the cabin near the entrance. You will need to bring an adaptor to go from J3400 to J1772 (CCS) for non-Tesla EV`s. We do not provide an adaptor.

The driveway can accommodate 3 or more vehicles.

The neighborhood park & small lake are within walking distance or a short drive away. You are welcome to use it at your own risk.

Check-in instructions, address, Wi-Fi password and Wi-Fi smart lock code (to enter the front door) will be sent 3 days prior to your check in date.

Check out instructions will be sent to you the night before departure.

We will not be available in person. Please message us through the booking app.

Periodic power and internet outages do occur in this area. There are lanterns and flashlights available. The wood stove can be used for warmth during an outage. Power is usually restored within a couple of hours. We do not provide refunds for outages that are outside of our control.

Cell phone service is spotty although Verizon seems to work well. Please enable Wi-Fi calling to achieve the best calling option.

We recommend purchasing groceries and supplies prior to your arrival, as the nearest grocery store in Ashford has only the basic supplies, beer and wine.

The Plaza Market in Eatonville is one of the nearest grocery stores and is approximately a 30-minute drive from the cabin.

There are a few restaurants, an art gallery, and a gas station in Ashford.

Firewood can be purchased in Ashford at the General Store, gas station or the firewood vending machine outside of Jacob’s Barber. There are also places along the highway that sell wood bundles. PLEASE NOTE: it is the guest’s responsibility to check if fires are allowed during their stay.

Please review the neighborhood HOA rules upon arrival (located on the fridge).

Pet Rules:

🔹A maximum of 1 dog is allowed.
🔹Dogs must weigh under 50 pounds and be fully housebroken.
🔹Sorry, no cats or other animals are allowed in the home.
🔹Dogs are not permitted to lay on the furniture or bedding.
🔹Guest must provide crate and/or kennel.
🔹Dog must be secured in a crate/kennel if left alone.
🔹Guest must pick up & dispose of dog waste in securely tied bags.
🔹Dogs must be on leash when outside.
🔹Guests will be responsible for any damage caused by their dog.
🔹There is a pet fee. Please include a pet in your reservation so the fee will automatically be charged.

House Rules:

🔸 No events, parties or large gatherings.
🔸 No smoking or vaping of any kind in the cabin.
🔸 Quiet hours 10PM - 8AM.
🔸 Must be at least 21 years old to book.


Check Out Procedures:

✔ Rinse dishes and leave in the dishwasher.
✔ Place used towels in bathroom shower.
✔ Gather trash and put in outside trash can.
✔ Leave all bedding on beds.
✔ Lock windows and doors.
✔ Turn off all lights & propane tanks.
✔ Log out of personal accounts on TV (Netflix, Hulu, etc)
✔ Leave heat at 68 degrees. (Keep AC on during summer months)
