Nideggen is a small historic town with a partially well-preserved castle complex that houses a museum. Major discount retailers are also located here.
The Schmidt district is located right next to the Eifel National Park in a wooded area, and not to be forgotten—the Rursee with the Eschauel “Sun Beach,” which offers exceptional swimming experiences thanks to its natural setting on a headland in the middle of the lake. A bike tour around the Rursee is a special highlight. E-bikes are available for rent in town. In Schwammenauel, you can rent rowing boats, pedal boats, and even sailing dinghies.
The town also features a wildlife park with native animals. All the shops you need for daily necessities can be found in town, including hair salons, banks, etc. A doctor’s office is located nearby.
