About this property
Creekside Cabin with Hot Tub & Red River Gorge Trails
Creekside Cabin is a thoughtfully curated hideaway at The Retreat at High Rock, blending rustic charm with modern comfort in the heart of Red River Gorge. Designed for guests who value nature, space, and intentional simplicity, the cabin features a comfortable queen bed, twin bunk beds, a cozy recliner sofa, and a spacious, fully equipped kitchen—perfect for unwinding after a day of hiking or climbing.
Surrounded by trees and the gentle sounds of the creek, the outdoor spaces invite you to slow down. Relax on the private deck, breathe in the forest air, or soak in the secluded hot tub, tucked into the woods for a peaceful, star-lit experience. Evenings here are quiet and grounding, with the natural landscape setting the tone.
In keeping with an authentic campground experience, this cabin does not include an attached bathroom. Guests enjoy access to a nearby shared bathhouse, just a short walk away, offering heated, private bathroom stalls and private hot showers—clean, well-maintained, and comfortable year-round.
Ideal for couples, small families, or friends seeking a refined yet rustic escape, Creekside Cabin offers a calm retreat close to Red River Gorge trails, Natural Bridge, and the area’s most iconic outdoor adventures.
Rustic Elegance Inside
Inside the cabin, the atmosphere is warm, inviting, and intentionally designed to complement the surrounding landscape. This is rustic luxury—comfortable, refined, and never overdone.
Large windows bring the outside in, framing views and filling the space with natural light. The interior encourages rest and ease, offering a cozy place to unwind after time outdoors. Climate control ensures comfort in every season, making the cabin just as enjoyable in cooler months as it is in summer.
The interior spaces are perfect for:
Quiet mornings with a book
Relaxed evenings indoors after the fire dies down
Comfortable nights of deep, uninterrupted rest
Every detail supports a slower pace—one that allows you to fully experience the setting rather than rush through it.

About the host
Hosted by Heidi Brown
Michael and Heidi are your co-hosts. We’re a family-run team passionate about thoughtful hospitality, nature, and creating spaces where people can truly unwind. After years in hospitality, travel, and creative work, we fell in love with Red River Gorge for its beauty, energy, and sense of escape. We enjoy welcoming guests from all walks of life and helping them slow down, explore the outdoors, and feel genuinely cared for during their stay. Hosting allows us to blend comfort, creativity, and connection in a place we love.
Why they chose this property
Red River Gorge is a place where forest, stone, and quiet come together. Our neighborhood is peaceful and wooded, with winding roads, open pasture views, and the feeling of being truly tucked away—yet still close to hiking trails, climbing routes, Natural Bridge, and local favorites. What we love most is the balance: deep nature, dark skies, and stillness, paired with a strong creative and outdoor community that makes the Gorge feel welcoming and alive.
What makes this property unique
What sets The Retreat at High Rock apart is the sense of space, intention, and community. Spread across 13 wooded acres, the property blends cabins, canvas bell tents, and RV stays into a thoughtfully evolving retreat rather than a single rental. Shared gathering spaces, warm lighting, and amenities like fire pits and a communal hot tub invite connection, while private accommodations allow for solitude when you want it. It’s a place designed not just to stay—but to slow down, reset, and feel part of something unfolding.
