Oberplunerhof is located in Kiens, in the heart of South Tyrol, just 15 minutes from the Kronplatz ski area—perfect for active vacationers and those seeking relaxation. Set apart from the village, you enjoy a peaceful setting with views of the valley and mountains, surrounded by alpine meadows and forests. The "Gitschberg" apartment on the first floor accommodates 4 guests. It features a modern, fully equipped kitchen, living and sleeping area with sofa bed, a bedroom with double bed, bathroom with shower, WC and bidet, as well as satellite TV and internet access. The balcony with seating is ideal for unwinding after a day in the mountains.



In the garden, you will find a sunbathing lawn, sun terrace with barbecue, hammock, and playground. Hiking trails start right at the farm, and in winter, Kronplatz offers slopes and cross-country trails. Restaurants, cafés, and shops are just minutes away.



A special service: fresh bread, milk, and eggs delivered to your door. You also receive the Holiday Card Premium with many benefits: free use of all public transport in South Tyrol, guided hikes, discounts on rafting, tandem flights, and more.



Families can tour the farm with 30 dairy cows, help feed the sheep, or spend a day at the family alpine hut. Homemade products like jam, honey, syrup, apple juice, and eggs (seasonal) complete the offer.



Parking available. Dogs are welcome (for an extra fee). The extra fee for dogs, ordered products, and the local tax must be paid in cash on site. Minimum stay: 3–7 nights, depending on the season. For shorter stays, an extra fee applies.

A little tired

I would love to give this property 5 stars but I have to compare it like for like with the many other owner rental properties we have stayed in.First, the positives -Beautiful property in stunning surroundings.Very cleanArmin, the owner, was helpfulComfortable beds and couchNow the negatives -No supplies of basics such as tea, coffee, sugar.No dish drainerNo microwaveOnly one, flat pillow each - we had to use scatter cushions from the couchNo spare blankets (one evening was quite chilly)Tired bedding and towelsNo ability to stream anything on the old style TVNo leaflets or ideas of things to do in the areaThe apartment was very bare with no personal touches.To summarise - the property would benefit from an update. It has a 1980s feel about the place and needs an injection of personality. Being on a farm, a nice touch would be a welcome basket with a few things from the farm. Perhaps a bottle of wine, a couple of beers and, at least, tea coffee and sugar. Perhaps if we hadn't stayed in similar priced properties and received far more I would think differently.

Thank you for sharing your feedback. We are pleased you enjoyed the cleanliness, comfort, surroundings, and Armin’s support during your stay. For clarity: as noted in our listing, we provide salt, pepper, and oil, but not tea, coffee, or sugar, as many guests prefer to bring their own. The draining area is right next to the sink, and while there is no microwave, an oven is available, which many guests find more versatile. Each guest receives one pillow, but extra pillows or blankets are always available on request via Armin’s personal WhatsApp, which all guests receive at check-in. Our heating runs automatically when temperatures drop, though we are happy to provide more blankets if desired. The TV is a four-year-old flat-screen (not a smart TV), but streaming is possible with an HDMI cable, which we gladly provide if asked. On the kitchen table, an information folder with recommendations for activities, restaurants, and excursions is always available. The apartment’s style is intentionally rustic, with traditional South Tyrolean décor and historical photographs from our farm’s history. We understand that tastes differ, and for those preferring a more modern look, our newly built chalets may be a better fit. While we don’t prepare welcome baskets, we do offer our own farm products, such as fresh milk, eggs, jams, syrups, apple juice, and honey. Die Wohnung liegt oberhalb des Ortes mit traumhafter Aussicht und völliger Ruhe. Wir wurden mit Brötchen und frischen Eiern versorgt. Es waren viele Ausflugsziele gut zu erreichen, die wir auch mit Hund gut bewältigen konnten. Wir haben einen wunderschönen Urlaub verbracht, in einer traumhaft schönen Umgebung.
