The ground-floor apartment in this beautiful house has been extensively renovated. It offers a view of the garden (with Lake Buckow in the background) and a large terrace that’s perfect for breakfast outdoors. The apartment features a large living room and bedroom (where you can light a wood-burning stove in the winter). Behind it is the kitchen with a dining area. There is also a second small bedroom and a bathroom with a toilet, shower, and washing machine.
Next to the shower is a sauna for two people.
The apartment features a nostalgic vaulted ceiling and modern dark slate flooring.
The large bed is a box-spring bed. The small bedroom features an antique brass bed.
At the far end of the garden is a private boat dock. Here you can swim and sunbathe in complete peace; when the sun is high, trees provide shade. A rowing boat is available for free use. Bicycles are also available for free use (2 adult bikes, 1 children’s bike).
Buckow is the pearl of Märkische Schweiz, a large nature park with many hiking trails through beautiful, unspoiled forests. The town offers plenty of shopping options (supermarket, health food store, pharmacy, chemist, book and magazine store), as well as restaurants, galleries, and a cinema.
Buckow is an hour’s drive from Berlin.
By train, you can travel from Berlin-Ostkreuz to Müncheberg in 40 minutes and then take the bus to Buckow-Markt (15 minutes). There are many places to visit in the surrounding area; the Oderbruch region is ideal for bike tours.
