We were so pleasantly surprised to find that this property is literally across the street from the lake. There is a dock kitty corner and a ladder directly across the street that allowed easy access in and out of the lake. We jumped in and swam every morning and every night. It was the highlight of our stay there. It is also in walking distance to a park, a castle, and amenities. Recommended to the host a few things for the house that would be helpful and he was very responsive. He warned us that sounds travels a bit more easily due to the historic nature of the home. But we did not have any trouble hearing noises from any of the adjacent units. The only draw back is that this home has low ceilings and esecially low door ways and beams. My son is 6 ft tall and hit his head a few times when not paying attention. No one else in my family had a problem. But be aware if you are tall that this may not be the right fit for you. Otherwise...loved it and would definitely stay here again (maybe without my son:).
