A cockerel crows. An old bicycle leans against the wooden fence. And just like in Bullerbü, a mighty tree grows here too. Here, the world is still in order. “Here” is a small village. Not in Sweden, but in Upper Lusatia. Schirgiswalde. And instead of the Mittelhof or Südhof, we have our Gutshof.
Surrounded by nature yet only 800 metres from the town centre, our estate is the ideal starting point for hiking and biking. It’s also perfect for winter sports enthusiasts, thanks to well-groomed cross-country trails and several small ski resorts in the area. The surrounding mountains invite you to go on discovery tours. The Poland-Czech Republic-Germany border triangle attracts visitors with cultural events and is perfect for strolling. Families, too, will find a wide range of activities to explore here. At the estate, you can enjoy active adventures or simply relax on our expansive grounds. With a little attention, curiosity, and openness, you’ll sharpen your senses, strike up conversations with people, make new friends, and rekindle your appreciation for authentic quality.
Feel right at home in our 11 holiday apartments, lovingly furnished by the estate owner. Here, you don’t check the outside temperature on a thermometer—you simply stick your nose out the window. Over a regional farm breakfast—ideally shared with other guests—you’ll plan your day. You’ll be amazed at everything you see and experience, and at how many nice people you’ll meet. You’ll discover just how refreshing a conversation can be and how much fun you can have with others. You can then round out the day with some bread on a stick by the campfire. And if you let yourself relax and simply enjoy the moment, you’ll even remember how wonderful it can be to just gaze up at the starry sky.



On-site fees: Four-legged friends are welcome in the “Holunder,” “Mohnblume,” and “Sonnenhut” holiday apartments for €10.00 per night.We charge a flat fee of €50.00 for final cleaning.



Check-in is available from 3:00 PM to midnight, and check-out from midnight to 10:00 AM.
