The house is set in small community where the majority of homeowners occupy the homes. Please be very mindful that this is not a resort and following the rules set by the HOA and the owner is tantamount! This one story ranch has 3 bedrooms, 3 and 1/2 baths and is perfect for family gatherings or girlfriends' weekend. The large foyer separates the house and has access to a half bath, an oversize garage, and a doorway to the partially covered deck. The deck wraps around the back side of the house to the Master Bedroom's private entrance. To the left of the foyer is a doorway that leads into a small sitting area and 2 bedrooms; each with their own bath. The first bedroom has twin beds and the 2nd a queen bed with its own private covered porch. To the right of the foyer is the formal dining room and bar. You can access the formal dining room from the foyer or the hallway which opens to the kitchen and great room area. The kitchen is large and comes fully equipped, including a table that seats 6, which flows into the living area. There is also an enclosed wet bar and a laundry closet with a full-size washer and dryer. The wall of windows allows for a beautiful view of the mountains and another door which opens to the deck. There are several chairs and lounges as well as a patio table and chairs. Cushions are stored in the outside closet off the covered deck. There is also a gas grill.

Clean, convenient to town and excellent mountain views. Well stocked very comfortable house in a quiet community with easy road access. Would stay here again and fully recommend this property and its manager.
This is the third time we have stayed here. We absolutely love the home and view. The location is perfect and Kathy is very gracious to work with. We already have plans to return in November!
The house was just as beautiful the second time! Everything was very clean, the view was fantastic, and the kitchen was very well equipped. The location is close to the Blue Ridge Parkway with lots of hiking options. We would highly recommend!
We had a lovely visit in this beautiful home! The view was stunning from the back deck and we even saw deer one morning in the yard out back. It has all of the amenities needed to make it the perfect place to stay. It was close to all of the places we wanted to visit and near to restaurants in the area. I believe the highlight was the beautiful sunrises that greeted us each morning. They were stunning! We would definitely stay here again.
Our extended family of five thoroughly enjoyed our 17 day stay in this wonderful mountain home. The house itself was immaculate and well-equipped, with all the necessities and comforts we could have wanted. Best of all, it was so quiet and peaceful that we spent much of our visit just enjoying the home and its beautiful view rather than seeking the mountain atmosphere elsewhere. Kathy seemed to have thought of everything, and she was very responsive and helpful throughout. We could not have asked for a better place to relax and enjoy our escape from this summer’s Texas heat.
This lovely home was perfect for my two siblings and I to bring our mother back to her hometown to celebrate her 90th birthday. The property was easy to access, minimal steps with railings to enter the home. Beautifully appointed. Well supplied and immaculate! Easy shower access in master bedroom. Very comfortable beds and bedding. Large windows and deck to accommodate the amazing mountain View! Convenient to Main Street Blowing Rock and Parkway attractions/parks. Excellent communication before, during and after booking. We will definitely enjoy returning to this property on future trips!
Very comfortable home for our family of five to gather in. The host was very easy to work with and ensured our long weekend went off without a hitch. We all slept well in this quiet, peaceful home!
The property was amazing! The home was clean and very nice. The rooms were large and very comfortable. I would definitely stay here again as it was close to all the places we wanted to see. It felt like Home!
We greatly enjoyed our 3 night stay in October. The house is nicely furnished and we loved the extremely quiet location and beautiful view of the mountains from the house. The kitchen is nicely equipped and each of the 3 of us loved having our own private bedroom with attached private bath. Kathy provided excellent detailed instructions about the house.
Location private, very quiet, with world-class view of the mountains. Six or seven minute drive from downtown Blowing Rock. House is spacious clean, and beautifully decorated. It had everything we needed. We highly recommend it. We would love to return.
We loved everything about our stay. The house is absolutely gorgeous. Even better than the photographs. The view is spectacular, and it is in an excellent location for Blowing Rock and the Blue Ridge Parkway. We would love to return someday!
We spent 4 days from 12/9-12. The home was beautifully decorated for Christmas. We’ve stayed here before and love the floor plan, access to the parkway, and proximity to Blowing Rock. We will be back in 2023!!
This home is absolutely beautiful and even better in person than what you see on line. Close to town, the Parkway, and many great hikes. Can’t wait to stay here again!!
THIS PROPERTY WAS JUST AS DESCRIBED, BEAUTIFUL AND CLEAN. CLOSE TO TOWN. GREATLY ENJOYED

About the host
Hosted by Kathy East
This home was built for James A. Turner, the founder of National Welders in Charlotte, NC. It was built as a place to 'getaway'. Mr. Turner passed away in 1998, and his family now allows others to enjoy the fruits of his labor.
What makes this property unique
This traditionally built home is deceiving from the outside. It is quite spacious and the many skylights flood the interior with natural light and give it a warm, welcoming feeling. The decor is very comfortable and inviting. The greatest attraction is the almost panoramic view of the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains. You can spend countless hours relaxing on the deck and watch the clouds drift over the range that stretches out for miles.
