Cosy holiday cabin perfect for older children and family in the Moselle Valley

We were an extended family group of 3 adults and 2 children (11-15 yrs) and this was our first trip to the Moselle. We visited during August 2023 and chose this property for its location as one of the adults did not drive and wanted independent access to the local town/surrounding area. The property was spotlessly clean, efficient check in/out procedure and the owner responsive to queries/feedback whilst we were staying in property. The property is basic, some of the furnishings/equipment was dated (but it all worked perfectly well) and is effectively a cosy two story wooden cabin! But the property was perfect for our one week stay in the summer. Whilst the owner does flag this in the listing the steps to the property are uneven so I would not recommend this property to families with babies/toddlers or adults with access requirements. But for fit and healthy school age children and adults it's fine. There appeared to be sime external lights but this could be something to ask about before booking if you are staying at times when daylight hours become shorter. (But as we were high summer did not affect us). The shower is basic so whilst we had plenty of hot water and pressure this would be one room in the property that would make the biggest difference to upgrade. A microwave would also be really nice too. But otherwise it's a lovely spot with beautiful views and the owner was so very responsive and polite. Thank you.

Gemütliches Ferienhaus in Alleinlage

Schnelle und gute Kommunikation vom Gastgeber. Nettes kleines Ferienhaus in Alleinlage und tollem Blick direkt auf die Mosel. Weg zum Ferienhaus allerdings nur über eine unebene und steile Treppe- für Menschen mit Einschränkungen nicht zu empfehlen. Geheizt wird das Haus nicht mit einer Ölheizung, wie in der Beschreibung sondern mit einem Pelletofen, den man selber bedienen muss. Die 15 kg Säcke der Pellets waren ausreichend vorhanden und der Gastgeber hat ein ausführliches Video dazu geschickt. Ein Zimmer mit Etagenbett hat keine Tür sondern nur einen Vorhang. Alles in allem hat uns der Aufenthalt sehr gefallen und wir würden das Haus jederzeit weiter empfehlen.

Top Lage

Wir hatten einen wundervollen Aufenthalt in diesem mit viel Liebe eingerichtetem Haus. Wir waren im März '24 in Traben-Trarbach, eine wunderschöne Gegend mit vielen Wanderwegen. Der Vermieter ist sehr hilfsbereit und nett, wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder.

Schöner Wandeurlaub

Wir (Familie mit Teenies + Hund) haben unseren Urlaub im "Hexenhaus" sehr genossen! Das Haus ist rustikal, aber gerade sehr schick neu dekoriert worden. Es ist alles da, was man braucht und die Lage ist einfach toll! Man kann direkt vom Haus aus loswandern (unsere Favoriten: Festung Mont Royal und der Moseltalschanzen-Weg). Die Treppe zum Haus hoch ist etwas lästig, aber dafür hat man absolut seine Ruhe!

Toller Aufenthalt

Ein rustikales Holzhaus mit allem, was man braucht....nah zum Ort und mit einem traumhaften Blick auf die Mosel, den ich bereits vermisse:) Einziges Manko... der Grill war nicht sauber... Aber das hat den Urlaub absolut nicht verdorben...ich würde jederzeit wieder hinfahren.
