The host requires you to complete the following before checking out:
Load and start the dishwasher
Strip any used beds, gather used towels and store extra beds
Remove personal items, remove leftover food and drinks and take out the rubbish
Turn off the lights, lock the doors and return the keys
Check out time: 10am * Lock and close all doors, windows, and blinds. *Dump all trash into out door trash bend. *Strip sheets from all beds used and place with used towels in basket in laundry room.
* Turn off the thermostat in game room behind the bar, and turn off A/C, heater unit in upstairs bedroom. * Cover the Jacuzzi and reduce heat to 90.
If the house is left a mess, dirty dishes, trash, food left out or on the floors or furniture, dirty counter tops/ stove etc., guest will be charged extra cleaning fees.
Failure to complete these may result in a negative review from the host.
All guests are to submit a rental agreement and photo ID to be returned within 24 hours of pre-booking, or reservation will be canceled.
NO more than 6 guests. NO invited guests not listed on the contract. NO Parties or events! NO smoking or drugs of any kind! NO pets! Don’t ask!!!
Guests must verify guest count, ages, sleeping layout before booking. Reservations exceeding limits or unsuitable may be canceled at host discretion.

The house was great for our family with small children. The kids room, toys, and games were a great hit. The Jacuzzi in the back is a great perk as well! Good house with a large open space for family time.

Our family stayed here while visiting relatives in Morro Bay. Before we even arrived, we received a very long message with an extensive list of house rules that immediately made us feel more like we were being warned than welcomed. We respected the rules and, because of the overall atmosphere, tried to spend as little time at the house as possible.The home also felt very personal, with family photos throughout the house and even a personal card left in the bedroom, which made us feel like we were staying in someone else’s private space rather than a vacation rental.Unfortunately, the beds were quite old, and the pillows were extremely lumpy, making it difficult for us to get a good night’s sleep.Checkout was another frustrating experience. We were given a lengthy list of chores, including stripping the beds, starting laundry, cleaning, and other tasks. We spent over an hour completing everything before leaving the property in great condition.After we checked out, the host contacted us accusing us of taking a decorative pillow, smoking in the home, and breaking a game. None of these accusations are true. We did not take anything, no one smoked in the house, and we did not damage any games or other property. It felt like the host was looking for reasons to charge us additional money after our stay.This was, without question, the most unpleasant experience we’ve had with a vacation rental host.

Our pre-arrival guide is intentionally detailed because we want guests to have all the information they need before arrival. It includes house rules, local information, and checkout instructions so there are no surprises. Many guests have told us they appreciate knowing expectations in advance, and we believe clear communication benefits both guests and hosts. Our home is a family-owned vacation rental, not a hotel, and we strive to make it warm, comfortable, and welcoming. While décor is subjective, it is represented accurately in our listing photos. The checkout requests are disclosed before booking and are consistent with helping prepare the home for our professional cleaning team. Guests who are not comfortable with those expectations are free to choose accommodations that better fit their preferences. Following your departure, we reached out regarding several items that were observed during our inspection. Asking questions about missing or damaged property is a normal part of the hosting process. We did not make false accusations, and we did not seek to impose unwarranted charges. We are proud of the hundreds of guests who have enjoyed their stay with us and of the consistently positive 5* reviews highlighting our cleanliness, communication, and hospitality.
