About this property
Ride, Rest, and Repeat Retreat
Ride, Rest & Repeat Retreat by Boutique Mountain Stays is a private mountain home set above Durango, where days start with coffee and fresh air and end with tired legs and an epic sunset. Set on five forested acres, the house feels immersed in nature while still offering easy access to Durango and the surrounding area. It’s a place that sits comfortably between adventure and rest.
Surrounded by pines, firs, and pockets of aspens that change with the seasons, the property offers true privacy without feeling isolated. Mornings are quiet and calm, and nights are dark enough for clear stargazing. National Forest hiking and mountain biking trails are located right at the end of the road, making it easy to step outside and explore.
What originally drew the owners to this home was the balance. It feels peaceful and tucked away, yet it’s still an easy drive to downtown Durango and some of the area’s most well known destinations, including Purgatory Resort, Durango Hot Springs, and the Million Dollar Highway. Meadow Market is nearby for essentials, and Vallecito Lake is a short scenic drive away, offering boating, paddleboarding, kayaking, fishing, swimming, and lakeside picnics.
Inside, the home is designed to help guests settle in and feel comfortable right away. The open living space has high ceilings, large windows, and a cozy fireplace that becomes a natural gathering spot after a day outside. Guests often say they feel instantly at ease here, relaxed, grounded, and at home in a mountain setting where time slows down naturally.
The spacious deck extends the living space outdoors and is ideal for morning coffee, reading, or long evenings outside. Many of the most memorable moments here are simple ones, watching the sun come up, sharing meals, or unwinding after a day of hiking or riding.
This home has been shaped over time by the people who love it. Friends and family helped bring it to life, turning projects into shared experiences filled with laughter, cooking, and connection. That warmth still lives in the space, and it’s something the owners hope guests feel throughout their stay.
After recharging, the home works beautifully as a base camp for adventure. Whether you’re hiking, mountain biking, skiing, or exploring nearby desert landscapes, it’s easy to get out and just as easy to come back to quiet.
The house is also exceptionally well set up for longer stays and remote work. There are four dedicated workstations, each with a monitor, making it comfortable for anyone who needs reliable workspace while enjoying a peaceful mountain setting.
Sleeping layout sleeps up to 7:
Upstairs private primary bedroom with large en suite bath
Main level bedroom
Lower level bedroom with its own bathroom, queen bed, and twin bed
