Welcome to High Country, a spacious, modern-rustic lodge designed for comfort and connection, nestled on over 20 private acres at the end of a long gravel drive. The heart of the home is the vaulted, wood-paneled living room, which flows seamlessly into the dining area and a full-sized, fully furnished kitchen, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere for your group to gather.



After a day of exploring, unwind on the fully screened-in back patio. This incredible outdoor living space features a cozy fire-pit table, an outdoor TV, a charcoal BBQ grill, and games—perfect for creating lasting memories. Year-round climate control ensures your comfort no matter the season.

A rental agreement is required with ID verification within 48 hours of booking or before entry, whichever is first.

Pet Policy: This property is pet-friendly by approval only. A maximum of 2 pets are permitted with payment of a $100 pet fee per stay. All pets must be disclosed and approved prior to arrival. Pets must be house-trained and properly supervised at all times. Pets may not be left unattended inside the property unless securely crated. Pets are not permitted on furniture or bedding. Guests are fully responsible for any damages, additional cleaning, pest treatment, or violations resulting from pets.

This property is amazing. Clean, spacious, huge kitchen that has everything you need to cook. Has great views. The outside patio is the perfect place to hang out and relax. Plenty of room for our group. Would definitely come back. 100% would recommend this place others.

The stay was not as expected. A lot of rodent noise in the evenings. We had pets and kids and to have rodent boxes in bathrooms/bedrooms/ etc… was not good for them. The host was very kind and pleasant to work with but unfortunately we had to cut our stay short because of the rodent issue

Thank you, Sandy, for letting us know about the noise you heard — that feedback led us directly to the entry point, which we found and permanently sealed. We've had no signs of activity since. For future guests: our cabin sits in a truly rural setting, surrounded by open fields, and that beautiful countryside comes with the occasional field mouse trying its luck. We stay ahead of it with year-round preventative pest control, and yes — you may notice discreet traps in the home. They're there because we're proactive, not because there's a problem. We're sorry this stay didn't go as planned, and we appreciated how gracious Sandy and her family were throughout. We'd welcome the chance to host them again.

Great Location & Experience

Our group had an amazing experience staying at High County for this year's youth retreat. The property was a perfect fit for our needs, providing plenty of space for our students and leaders while creating a great environment for fellowship, worship, and fun. Everything was clean, well-maintained, and exactly as described in the listing. We especially appreciated how accurately the property details reflected what we found upon arrival, which made planning for our retreat much easier. Allison was outstanding throughout the entire process. Communication was prompt, clear, and helpful from booking through checkout. She was always quick to respond to questions and went above and beyond to ensure our group had a great experience. We would absolutely stay at High County again and would gladly book another property through SIVR in the future. Highly recommended!

Our stay was wonderful at their property. It was perfect location. Setting was so peaceful and quiet. We had a two-year-old‘s birthday party here the outdoor screened in porch was amazing for this. We loved how each panel of the screens were able to go up and down individually. communication with the host The entire time was flawless. Their kitchen is supplied with anything you could possibly need including cooking spices and oils along with flour and sugar However, the island in the kitchen is tall so for short people like some of my family we did use the stepstool we found in the mudroom, which was very nice to have. There was plenty of linens supplied for the bathrooms and the kitchen. So the overall stay was so nice. However, there would be a few things that could be worked on with housekeeping the back patio and screens needed to be washed down more however, at the time we were there fields around the area were being worked so this contributed to a lot of the dust factor. And anyone with a spider phobia this is not your place to stay with the fields being worked and recently mowed There were a lot of a wolf spiders. Our families from the country so this was not a big deal to us, but like I said anybody with a true spider phobia do not plan on staying especially this time of year. Other than those two factors, I highly recommend high country for your vacation say.
