Hohenfels-Essingen is a small village in the Vulkaneifel.

Just north of the village, you’ll find the Mühlstein Caves on the Mühlenberg. These were formed when tunnels were carved into the rock to extract millstones.

In the surrounding area, in addition to “pure nature” for hiking and/or mountain biking, you’ll find plenty of attractions that your children will also enjoy.

Our tip:

Climb up to the Gerolstein Dolomites and enjoy the wonderful view of the town of Gerolstein. Afterward, a visit to the “Gerolstein Springs” with a mineral water tasting, for example, would be a well-deserved reward for your efforts.

The Grafenfelder Hof is situated in a secluded, quiet location on a dead-end street with no through traffic.

Your vacation apartments are nevertheless centrally located between the Vulkaneifel towns of Daun, Gerolstein, and Hillesheim (each 10 km away).

Thanks to its location with a beautiful, sweeping view, it is the ideal vacation spot for families with children.

Two 4-star non-smoking vacation apartments with 115 m² or 85 m² of living space for up to 6 or 4 people, respectively, offer the ideal starting point for a relaxing vacation.
