The Weitblick holiday rental is perched above the rooftops of Eckernförde. When the east wind blows, you can hear the sound of the Baltic Sea from the garden. It’s 500 metres to the spa beach, which you can reach in 7 minutes. From there, you can continue strolling along the promenade into the city centre—unless you decide to settle into a beach chair first to enjoy the waves, the sky, and beach life. If it’s too windy on a given day, you can also relax on the holiday apartment’s south-facing terrace.
Spanning two floors and covering 130 m², the Weitblick holiday rental offers plenty of space for a relaxing holiday with family or friends. In addition to the kitchen-diner, the spacious living room provides room for chatting, dining, or reading.
Unfortunately, the apartment is not wheelchair accessible. There are 26 steps leading to the entrance of the “Weitblick” holiday rental. The ground floor features the kitchen-dining area, the living room, and a bathroom. The ground floor has three bedrooms and another bathroom with a tub.
You can reach city centre on foot in 25 minutes. A bus stop is 180 metres away. In the city centre, you’ll find supermarkets, and on Wednesday and Saturday mornings, you can buy regional fruits and vegetables at the colourful and lively market. If you walk a few more metres to the harbour, you can buy fresh fish straight off the boat. If you’d like to take a short break along the way, small cafés invite you to linger. You might ride your bike to the other side of the harbour to watch the hustle and bustle of the monthly fish market.
There are many great bike tours to choose from starting in Eckernförde. The Windebyer Noor or the Schlei can easily be explored on two wheels in a single day. Kiel, Schleswig, and Flensburg are interesting destinations, all of which can be reached by car in less than an hour. Hamburg is also always worth a visit and can be reached comfortably by train in 1.5 hours. If you’re still itching to get out and about, you might want to head to Denmark to try the hot dogs just across the border. Afterwards, Eckernförde Bay beckons once again with opportunities for sailing, surfing, or stand-up paddleboarding.
