Our traditional farm, “Lausitzer Teich- und Waldwirtschaft,” is located on the outskirts of Quitzdorf am See (Petershain district) and covers an area of approximately 3 hectares. The village of Petershain lies in the heart of the Upper Lusatian Heath and Pond Landscape Biosphere Reserve. We operate a pond farm consisting of 46 natural ponds spread across four districts, covering 255 hectares of forest and meadow land. The Quitzdorf Reservoir is located about 6 km away. Numerous biking and hiking trails invite you to explore; here you can encounter white-tailed eagles, kingfishers, otters, beavers, and many other native animals. Also worth seeing are the Nochten Boulders Park, Fürst Packer Park in Bad Muskau, the cities of Görlitz and Bautzen, and much more! Explore the nearby Lusatian Lake District or the Zittau Mountains, as well as neighbouring Poland or the Czech Republic.
Our log cabin “Jägerhäusel,” newly built in 2020, offers 38 square metres of living space and has everything you need for a comfortable stay for up to 3 people. Inside the “Jägerhäusel” log cabin, you’ll find a separate bedroom, a high-quality, fully equipped kitchen, a cosy dining area, a bathroom with natural light and a shower, and an open living area with a couch and a smart TV. Enjoy the sunrise on the spacious, covered terrace, or wind down your holiday day surrounded by nature. Pets are allowed in this unit for an additional fee!
