Lake house with garden on the Staffelsee, private bathing area and rowing boat

Our holiday home is located right next to Lake Staffelsee and covers 125 square metres. You’ll have the place all to yourselves, complete with a private garden!
The living area in the house has 3 bedrooms with 2 double beds and 2 single beds. The fully equipped kitchen and the bathroom have everything your heart desires!
The apartment was renovated with great care—true to the motto: “NEW things can move in—TRADITIONAL elements should stay” (such as the authentic, custom-built box windows crafted by the father of the owner, Klara Finsterwalder). We love this blend of old and new!
The beautiful living room invites you to relax and brings guests together around the lovely solid-wood table. The cosy living area with a tiled stove and stove bench ensures a relaxing holiday! The apartment is located on the 1st floor and features an east- and south-facing balcony. The house is located on the first row of the “Uferpromenade” on a dead-end street—in the summer, the street is mainly used by guests unloading their luggage for boat tours! There is a public car park directly across from the house.
You can enjoy carefree holiday days in the private garden, which is furnished with seating and lounge furniture.
You’ll be staying here with us without any other guests—you’ll essentially have the house to yourselves. We therefore ask that you place the trash tins at the bottom of the driveway the evening before collection day (1–2 times per week). Our flowers (which are visible from a distance) also appreciate a little water from our guests in the summer :-)
Of course, the host will also take care of watering them.

Rowing boats from our own rental service, “Zanderl,” can be booked in addition to your stay! Available by the hour or as full-day rentals! One full-day rental is already included in the price for each weekly booking!
Our idyllic swimming spot, away from all the hustle and bustle (reachable by boat, on foot, or by bike in 15 minutes), is free for our guests! We’re delighted to offer you this special service!
WINTER Highlight:
Magnificent groomed cross-country trails in the Ammer Valley / Graswang Valley (about a 20-minute drive away) - Cross-country skiing in the footsteps of King Ludwig II
Fantastic ski resorts just a 30-minute drive away—even the drive towards Garmisch-Partenkirchen is an experience—imposing mountain peaks like the Dreitorspitze, Alpspitze, and, of course, the Zugspitze greet you from afar!
Many natural toboggan runs in the immediate vicinity (Hörnle, Pürschling, Grasberg, and others) invite you to enjoy a fun family outing (perhaps with a stop at a mountain hut)!

Every season has its own special charm in our area:
SPRING invites you to the surrounding moors with their wet meadows to marvel at gentians and primroses; in SUMMER, swimming at Staffelsee takes centre stage; in FALL, mountain hikes and the last rowing trips on the lake beckon, and in WINTER, beautifully groomed cross-country trails await you in the Ammer and Graswang valleys (a 20-minute drive away).

Your hosts look forward to showing you the special natural beauty of our region and, upon request, accompanying you (e.g., to the “Wilder Jäger” in Unternogg and the Wieskirche by e-bike; hikes to the Pfannenstiel or Pürschling viewpoints via the Wetzsteinklamm gorge; wildlife feeding, and much more).

During holiday periods (Autumn / Christmas / Carnival / Easter / Pentecost) as well as from Pentecost through the end of summer holiday, there is a minimum stay of 7 nights

Otherwise, the minimum stay is 4 nights
