The description of the sleeping arrangements listed for this unit was two queen sized beds and a double sleep sofa. Upon arriving in the condo we discovered that there was just a sofa in the living room ... not a double sleep sofa. Additionally, the two queen sized beds in the bedroom were actually either full sized or double bed sized. I personally own a queen sized bed and these were not queen sized beds. I contacted the concierge at the Litchfield resort and was advised that the owner of the condo elected not to equip the unit with a sleep sofa as most of the other units did have one. Also, since this was a third party booking there was not much he could do. I find this to be a very deceptive practice. I deliberately booked this unit since the double sleep sofa would allow for more sleeping flexibility for my wife and grandchildren. There were a few other units that did not have the sleep sofa, at a lower rate, but I opted for the higher rate and the sofa. I spoke with two different representatives with Litchfield Resort and they said they would have someone in management contact me. So far I have had no contact.

Our only complaint was the cleanliness of the room upon arrival. There was a decent amount of hair on the bathroom floor, dust buildup around electrical outlets and furniture, and sand remnant throughout (sort of expected with a beach rental but still). Housekeeping service was very helpful with towels and trash, guest services were available 24/7. Some of the lighting did not work in the unit but we didn't attempt to address it since we were only there a few days. Being high up over the pond was nice since we could watch the turtles and wildlife. Pool and lazy river we're great, but I didn't realize just how far we were from the beach. We had to drive to the other side of the resort to get there so for that reason alone, we won't be staying on this side of the resort again.

We have a home in the area and book a place at this vicinity every year during July 4th, for overflow, if more family decides to come than we can accommodate comfortably. It is a wonderful family beach vacation location. This year, however, the whole pool/lazy river area was in much need of repair. All of the water play areas for the kids were not working. They have always had a tiki bar/beverage hut, which is still on site, but permanently closed. That was immensely disappointing. Not only did you use to be able to purchase adult beverages, but cold, slushy drinks for the kids. So, not only was there nothing working in the splash zones for the kids, but there were no cool beverages available at all. The grandkids always looked forward to the lazy river, but had more fun at our neighborhood pool. Next year we will just squeeze everyone in to our home.

I hesitated to stay here because I read so many bad reviews about the place online. After digging deeper I found that many recommended not booking directly with the resort because of the inconsistency of units, but to book through a third party such as VRBO to get a more updated unit. I'm so glad that I did, as this unit was well-furnished, clean and comfortable. Had a great stay and will do the same the next time around.
