We look forward to welcoming you to our Jurahaus in Pförring! Whether you’re going for a hike in nature, a bike ride along the Danube, or a city trip to Munich, Ingolstadt, or Regensburg, the Jurahaus and its garden offer you the chance to relax and unwind.
The Jurahaus is a 16th-century residential building designated as a historic landmark. An analysis of the wooden beams used in the house revealed that they were felled in 1540/1541. For several generations, we have been preserving this cultural heritage and bringing it up to modern technical standards. In 2019, the gently sloped (25°) roof—covered with limestone slabs and characteristic of Jura houses—was renovated in accordance with historic preservation guidelines.
The Jurahaus is a 16th-century historic residence. An examination of the wooden beams used in the house revealed that they were felled in 1540/1541. The stone floor in the hallway is still in its original condition. At the end of each day, you can relax in the living room by the wood pellet stove. The kitchen features both an electric stove and a traditional wood-burning stove. The ground floor also includes two bedrooms and a bathroom. The upper floor features two additional bedrooms, a bathroom, and a toilet integrated into the largest room in the house.
In the summer, we recommend winding down the day in the lounge area in the garden. If you enjoy barbecuing, you’re welcome to use the charcoal grill in the garden.
The private parking space on the property and the parking spots in front of the house ensure a stress-free arrival. You can bring your luggage into the house in just a few steps.
At the fish farm 500 metres away, you can get the best fresh and smoked freshwater fish in the area.
A lovely walk will take you to the local farm stand, where you can buy seasonal, homegrown fruits and vegetables. In the summer, we recommend picking your own strawberries and cherries there.
The nearest train stations are both 6 km away, in Neustadt an der Donau and Münchsmünster.
