Cosy 51-square-meter holiday rental in an English country house style, just 200 metres from Lake Wiesensee. Fully equipped kitchen. Perfect for 3 adults or a family with 2 kids. Private garden area in the summer on a securely fenced-in property. Ideal for dogs!!<br><br>My wife Elke and I originally worked in the restaurant industry. These days, however, we both have “regular jobs”—with set working hours, free weekends, and holidays. It’s wonderful so far.<br>But: We’re still hooked on the hospitality bug, so we’re thrilled to be able to host a holiday rental—and we’re even more excited to meet new, friendly guests.<br><br>In 2021, my wife Elke and I fulfilled our dream of owning a historic farmhouse. We bought one of the oldest houses in the village: an old farmhouse dating back to 1772. <br>Someday, or so we’ve imagined, it should look like an English cottage (or at least something very similar :)). The garden is already well on its way to becoming a cottage garden; it just needs to grow a bit more, and then it’ll be just right.... someday.<br>The holiday rental, as you’d expect, has a subtle English touch in its 51 square metres. This applies not only to the furnishings but also to the building’s structure: Everything here is crooked—the walls, ceilings, and floor. “Crooked is English, and that, in turn, is modern,” someone once told us. We think it’s great! Do you, too?<br>The best way to get a feel for it is through the photos. If you like what you see, we’d be thrilled to meet you someday. <br><br>We’re out in the countryside! Pottum has about 1,000 residents (not counting cows, pigs, and sheep) and Lake Wiesensee. There’s plenty to do here, such as hiking and biking (we’d also be happy to rent you e-bikes and e-trikes). Sailing, surfing, swimming, rock climbing, and more. Smaller and larger towns aren’t very far away. By car, it’s 20 minutes to Herborn, 30 minutes to Limburg, 45 minutes to Koblenz, and 1 hour to Wiesbaden.<br>Shopping for daily necessities is practically right in the area: about 7 km to the supermarket and the city centre areas of Westerburg or Rennerod (not very big, but they have everything you need).<br><br>
