The narrow Reddevitz Peninsula warmly welcomes you! The headland is located in the southeastern part of the island and is connected by a 130-meter-long isthmus. It is only between 200 and 500 metres wide and extends over 4 kilometres in length. The secluded peninsula is situated in the Greifswald Bodden and is part of the municipality of Mönchgut and the Southeast Rügen Biosphere Reserve

Even today, the small villages place great value on art, tradition, and craftsmanship. In the little village of Middelhagen, there’s plenty to see and discover. At the Mönchgut Keramik pottery workshop, you’ll find not only mugs, jugs, and plates, but also handmade glass art. In the village itself, you’ll come across the glass fish that reflect the sunlight and make the village sparkle. Another highlight in Middelhagen is the old school museum. From June through the end of August, you’re welcome to take part in a school lesson just like it was 100 years ago.
