We booked this place knowing it was in a good area but the host relocated us to another property stating original place wasn't available and had some kind of issues. The replacement unit was old, had a stench and was not in a family friendly neighborhood.

Very disappointing experience – please be careful before bookingWe booked this apartment in Istanbul almost a month in advance for a 3-night stay. There were 7 of us travelling together, and we made our plans and arrangements based on this confirmed booking.Unfortunately, at the last minute, the host made the apartment unavailable. We tried to contact the host and get an explanation or alternative arrangement, but we received no proper response or assistance.What made the situation even more concerning was that we later received a phone call from the host, on the second-last day of our planned stay, asking why we had not checked in and making accusations that we had taken or damaged the keys/property. This was completely unexpected and very upsetting, especially as the accommodation had already been made unavailable to us.I also noticed that other guests had previously mentioned similar issues in their reviews, which makes this experience particularly concerning.Based on our experience, I would strongly advise other travellers to be very careful and to make sure they have proper confirmation and protection before making any payment or travelling.Our experience was extremely stressful and disappointing, especially because we were travelling as a group and had booked well in advance. I would not book this property again.

They advertise elevator access, 2 modern bathrooms, fully equipped kitchen, air-conditioning in all rooms. There is no elevator! You have to walk up 5 flights of stairs. Bathroom 1: Very old cabinets with one old sink toilet and shower.Bathroom2: toilet, sink, hose with shower head but no encloser or basin. Water splashes onto sink and toilet flooding bathroom floor, accumulating around toilet. Since there is no mop provided the floor stays wet. The only cooking utensils are an ancient 4piece plastic cutlery set without a spatula, 3 tiny glasses, plates, silverware and pots are avail. No bowls, colander, can or bottle opener, toaster, microwave. There is 1 air conditioner in the living room and 1 in the big bedroom. All bedroom windows face old concrete shafts. Perimeter of the unit shows a 1-inch-wide dirty edge, which cleaned up just with water. There is a terrible cat urine smell in the bedroom with the 2 beds. All urine stains have not been cleaned up still visible on the floor. Since the cat didn't kill the mouse, mouse droppings are found on bed sheets, bathroom and on the edge between the 2 ovens. Central Apartments claim they use professional cleaners. Their cleaner arrived an hour before we left. She brought just her pocketbook, no broom, mop, rags or any cleaning solutions. The unit offers a vacuum but doesn't have any of these essential cleaning tools. It explains why this apartment is so dirty. Many more things to say but I'm out of characters to use.
