We really enjoyed our stay and appreciated the kayaks, paddle boards fishing on the dock. The location is great we were able to go into Mercer for dinner if we wanted to. We did hiking close by and took a day to see a few waterfalls and Lake Superior which was only about an hour away and an easy drive. The location was great and the view of the lake from inside was amazing too!

Beautiful lake view from the front window of the house, as well as further down by the dock. Rooms were clean, comfy front sitting room just off the living room and kitchen. Great big bathroom and comfortable beds. It really is a beautiful, quiet, and serene place to unwind!

This is a great property right on Crystal Lake in Mercer. There was one home next to it, but otherwise it felt secluded. It is a comfortable home. There is a nice sunroom, which overlooks the lake. The bed in the main bedroom was comfortable. We enjoyed watching the loons from the Adirondack chairs by the boat house and pier. The host was friendly and communicative, and wanted to make sure we enjoyed our stay.

We're Anne and Jim from Colorado. We've been vacation rental hosts for over a decade and enjoy sharing our vacation properties with other adventurous folks. This cottage was originally bought by Anne's parents and remodeled and expanded to the cozy retreat it is today.

Why they chose this property

This cottage property is on Crystal Lake, an approximately 100-acre lake with limited public access. The perfect place to relax and read, write, reconnect or do nothing. Just 5 minutes from town and 30 minutes to the Michigan upper peninsula (the U-P). Explore the Northwoods and go for a driving tour to historic towns and waterfalls. Many lakes and adventures to explore within less than an hour drive.

What makes this property unique

Well appointed two bedroom cottage on a quiet Crystal Lake. All the necessities are provided. Enjoy a swim in the lake or take a kayak or paddleboard out on the lake. Listen to the nesting pair of Loons at night and watch for them on the lake during the day. The spacious multiple decks are perfect for morning coffee, lunch, or afternoon cocktails. Fish off the dock for panfish including bluegills and bass.
