We are four, two parents and a daughter visiting our other Jayhawk daughter. When choosing a home, we usually seek “cozy.“ In this case, we were drawn to the color and interior decor in order to feed our daughter’s artistic eyes.The first thing we noticed is how spacious it is, with high ceilings and a long hallway leading to two bedrooms and two bathrooms. The cement floors are cool to touch. The decor is contemporary. Nothing like what we usually live in.But it easily became perfect for our stay. It was so hot out. We ended up staying in our home almost the whole time. That’s where the space was helpful. We could be intimate on the comfortable sofas around the rug, talking or watching television. And if anyone needed to peel off and be on their own, it was easily done.We were nervous to be a fishbowl on the first level next to the sidewalk, but all shades draw down to give complete privacy and darkness. It was quiet, both from the front sidewalk and the alley behind. Yet only being a block off Mass Ave., we walked everywhere.Little touches helped us relax. The place was immaculate. The coasters helped us take care of our drinks on the tables. We had everything needed for our meals and weren't afraid of running out of dishes. The layout allowed us to tend to food while others lounged on the sofas. The king size beds are comfortable.We loved our stay.
