The location was pretty perfect. Walking distance to the beach, public transport, UBC campus. The parking wasn’t private, but it was easy. The host was amazing at communication and the space was clean.Perfect for 2 people and certainly worked for us 3. We recommend! : )
The unit was spotless. The host's communication was excellent. Very close to beach, eateries and public transportation. Would not recommend young children though as the unit has a wall to wall plush white carpet.
A lovely place to stay. Very clean & comfortable. The host has great communication & was very accommodating. Great location, & a beautiful property. I hope to stay here again! Thank you.

Liked: Cleanliness, check-in
Every morning from 6 a.m. to 9 a.m., there was constant noise from kids running, which was never mentioned, even though the landlord upstairs has two children under the age of seven. The ceiling insulation is either poor or too close to the upstairs floor, and we couldn’t sleep past 6 a.m. during our five-day stay.
Someone was there to escort me to the suite and helped me carry my luggage down the stairs. The host replied in a timely manner to any concerns that I had. There was a nice view from the patio door (the entrance to the suite). It was warm and good water pressure in the shower :)
Property is basic and clean and well appointed. There is an air conditioning unit although the exhaust hose isn’t installed in a window and is lying on the ground. Note that the entry is through a sliding door with a rather minimal lock. There is also a very active and heavy footed child upstairs who will limit your quiet, especially in the morning. I had an issue with parking - due to a local festival, there were parking restrictions. I was volunteering at that festival and had asked my host about whether parking was available. He assured me it would be no problem and I drove my car. It was indeed a problem. He then said they had just learned about the parking restrictions on the day the signs went up (the day my stay started). I spoke with the festival folks and they assured me that letters about the restrictions and residential parking permits were mailed out at least a week before the event. I recommend that the host work on his active communication skills.
Overall, relaxing stay. However, basic toiletries were missing and we had to go to a convenience store to pick them up. Considering it's in a quiet residential area further away from shops, it's a small inconvenience and perhaps just a miscalculation from the cleaning crew. However, what did affect the stay was the loud stomping and noise from upstairs due to children. This is part of a house mind you, all is not entirely disconnected. Otherwise, if you enjoy being in a residential neighborhood, close to UBC and within walking distance to a busy bakery, this is a good choice!
This property was clean, comfortable, close to bus route and beach, quiet. Host Paul was quickly responsive to questions/requests. Altogether pleasant stay.
We loved the apartment. It was beautiful and relaxing. The distance to the beach and to the walking were wonderful. Going into downtown was easy. The area around the apartment was nice and felt safe. The garden in the back yard was beautiful and all in all private. The only kinda down side is that there is a family that is in the main house( the apartment is like a basement ) so if your looking for something with no others being around this could be a challenge. They also have young children and there was some noise from them. It was not a challenge for us. Over all great place and very worth the money
