Liked: Cleanliness, check-in, communication, location
To be very honest the property is not what I expected from the listing. However, after getting settled in and the excellent communication with the host, the 6-week stay was very pleasant. The host was wonderful and checked on us on a regular basis. Host was very quick to fix any issues and was also very quick in all responses. They made us feel welcome. The neighbors were friendly and helpful. I would definitely recommend this property to someone who is looking for a reasonably priced home to get away and enjoy the Mississippi river area. This place is a good example of "don't judge a book by its cover".

Disliked: Check-in, listing accuracy
Pros: The views of the Mississippi River right across the street and a lovely field behind this home were outstanding. It was an idyllic setting in many ways. The road was off the beaten path so no traffic. The home was clean. There was plenty of bedding, towels, paper plates, plastic cups and glasses, paper towels, forks and spoons, and fridge and cupboard space to store food. New, clean gas stove with griddle. The large bed was fairly comfy. The window A/C units worked well. We appreciated the washer already preloaded with detergent, and the dryer. Kim was excellent at communicating throughout our stay.Things to improve: This home is actually a renovated mid-century trailer rather than a cabin as listed. It is on a desolate road in a row of four other similar type homes. The twin bed and couches could have been more comfortable. The twin bed is next to the washer and dryer. Towel hooks would be helpful as there is no closet or anywhere else to hang anything, There is no floor space or closets in either the main bedroom or the room with the twin bed. There were steak knives but no regular silverware knives. We couldn’t find any pots, pans, actual bowls or plates. Overall opinion:With a more accurate property description, lower price, and specific directions (Google and Apple Maps both showed the location to be a mile or two before the actual home), this is a decent place to stay and we would stay here again.
