Cabin in the Woods near the Charming town of Glenwood
Notice: our location is currently under a burn ban. The fire pit can not be used at this time. Thank you for your understanding. Welcome to our tiny cabin-style home privately situated on one acre off a gravel county road, surrounded by woods on three sides, giving you a sense of seclusion while still providing you easy access to nearby amenities. There are no other homes on this one acre property; this will be your private retreat during your stay.
500 sq ft of rustic charm with a covered deck in both the front and back. This tiny home has two comfortable queen size beds plus a queen air mattress, two nap mats, and three sleeping bags available. There is a ½ bath off the hallway, with a separate shower with privacy glass in the back bedroom. Note the back bedroom does not have a privacy door, but rather a privacy curtain.
In keeping with the spirit of allowing you to fully unplug, the home does not provide Wi-Fi. Instead, guests are invited to browse a curated DVD library—a nostalgic, intentional entertainment feature that encourages shared experiences and relaxation for families and couples alike.
Actual conversation around the firepit, a DVD player for rainy days, and discovering rocks and crystals in the yard after it rains. Cell service still works, so you're reachable if it matters — you just won't be tempted to scroll instead of being here. (data sometimes works but it’s not 100% reliable)
The kitchen is designed for full meal preparation, featuring an array of appliances and utensils; you have all the basics needed for making homecooked meals in your private retreat. Note that the kitchen has a dorm sized fridge and an additional dorm sized deep freezer.

Our stay was very enjoyable. Our host was very accommodating. We even extended our stay and she was very helpful with that process. We definitely recommend and would stay again.

Hi Jennifer, Thank you for the great review. We are thrilled you enjoyed your stay and would love to host you again anytime your in the area. Take care!
We used this cabin near Glenwood as our home base while exploring the area and had a really nice stay. The cabin layout makes smart use of the space. Having two double beds and the two sleeping mats were great for our family. I enjoyed my coffee with morning sunrise from the front porch. You don’t get a full open sunrise, but once the sun climbs over the hill across the street, it peeks through the trees in a pretty way. Deer sometimes wander through the yard, and hummingbirds visited the flowers near the porch. The small fridge and freezer came in handy, and having access to a washer is great; I hung clothes on the provided outdoor line (& a dryer is also available). The setting felt private; there are neighbors in the area, but summer foliage screened them completely and the setting is peaceful and quiet as if there was no one around. One of my boys loved collecting quartz and shiny stones in the yard. We also enjoyed the Saturday farmers market, the downtown shops, and swimming and fishing on the Caddo River nearby. We have previously rented a full house in town, and this time we were open to a stay more connected to nature. This cabin gives a camping vibe, along with front porch sunrises and wildlife, and we still get real beds, a proper shower, a place to store and cook food, and a locking door. It felt like a true break from the everyday and a refreshing time for our family.

Thank you Lena for this wonderful review! I am so glad you felt at home and enjoyed being in the country. Hosting thoughtful guests like you is what makes this so rewarding. We hope to welcome you back anytime!!
The property was in a nice, secluded area not too far from Murfreesboro or Hot Springs which was perfect for our plans. We were able to cook all our meals in-house and enjoyed our breakfast out on the patio where we got to see an owl! I highly recommend this spot!

Thank you Kiara for the wonderful review. I’m so glad you had a good time. I put out bird food for all the wild birds, but never thought about an owl showing up! How wonderful!
This was a wonderful little getaway for our family with easy access to the river! It was also a very shirt drive to hot springs to get all kinds of great food. We loved the cozy feel and unplugging from the wifi to just watch DVDs as a family! We definitely intend to stay again!

Why they chose this property
What I enjoy most about this neighborhood is it's in the country. There are woods on three sides of our tiny home. There is a house across the street; however, it's barely visible due to the trees and vegetation. We just upgraded the fire pit area which is great for relaxing while taking in a view of our neighbor's pond. Our tiny home is only 1.3 miles from Lucky's canoe rental and minutes from the town of Glenwood. There is public access to the Caddo river at 903 3rd St. The locals call it Trestle Park.
What makes this property unique
For anyone who is a rock enthusiast, it is easy to find crystals in our yard after a summer shower. Also, our tiny home is only 29 miles from Crater of the Diamonds State Park.
