Your cozy getaway awaits 15 minutes from the town of Cook at this adorable cabin. With five bedrooms (including the space above the garage we call the Treehouse) featuring two king beds, four queen beds, and a child bed, guests have plenty of space to relax. The cabin has one full bathroom with another 3/4 bath in the Treehouse (apartment above garage) each equipped with a shower and hair dryer for convenience. Whether you’re unwinding after a day of adventure or gathering for a meal, this perfect retreat offers a cool and comfortable atmosphere. We hope you'll enjoy your stay at our cabin.

Hello! We are excited to be offering this cabin, The Lazy Loon, for the first time ever. My husband was raised on the lake as his parents owned a resort on the West End. We have been renting cabins since 2012 when we bought our first in the Black Hills. Now having something closer to home and on the lake that we love is very exciting. We love being able to share the lure of Vermilion with you and yours.

Why they chose this property

We love this cabin as its the best of all worlds. Vermilion is known for its rocky structure. This bay and our shoreline, while being armored with boulders, boasts a sandy entrance and sandy bottom. It's not Florida sugar sand but for Vermilion its great sand?

What makes this property unique

While the cabin is built into a slope, the front and side yards are mostly flat or a very gentle tilt toward the lake...its an A-Mazing place to hang out and play games in and amongst the trees.
We also love the sandy bottom along our shoreline which makes for great fun and frolicking.
Its a also a real nice bonus that the boat launch is so close should you bring your own rig....also plenty of parking right at the cabin or up on the paved road where we have additional parking for boat trailers or extra vehicles.
