We really enjoyed our stay in this beautiful part of Germany. Minheim is a perfect base to travel up and down the route of the Mosel. There are lots of things to do in this area including castles, pretty towns, walks, museums, roman villas. Our favourites were Bernkastel( the restaurant in Swan Street was particularly good, we went three times!!) Trier (especially the Roman Festival with gladiators in the amphitheatre!! its on at the beginning of September next year),Burg Eltz, Cochem castle, Manderschied Castles and a boat trip up the river. The flat was very clean, comfortable and had everything we needed. It was one of the nicest places we have stayed in, we did not want to leave. Mr and Mrs Faber were extremely helpful and made us very welcome in their lovely home. Their wine is very good and we drank and bought several bottles! All in all a perfect holiday. Thank you again Mr and Mrs Faber for your wonderful hospitality.
