BED BUGS!!! Positives: The location is excellent and would be ideal for a ski trip. The layout is great for larger families as there are multiple levels and bedrooms. Unfortunately, that’s where the positives end.We discovered bed bugs after our first night. We immediately called, texted, and emailed First Chair Property Management with photos. We received no response for over 24 hours and even VRBO was unable to reach them. We had no choice but to leave after one night and pay for alternative lodging.The delayed response was unacceptable. We were later told we’d receive a full refund, but as of July 20, we still haven’t received it.There were several other issues as well. The main living room blinds were broken, leaving them stuck down. The listing failed to disclose that the patio is shared with the neighboring unit. The neighbors occupied the entire patio, blocked our door with their chairs, and there are no blinds on the patio door, leaving us with no privacy. We were also surprised by an undisclosed fee to park in the garage.We’re Colorado locals and visit Steamboat often. This was, without question, the worst vacation we’ve ever experienced. Finding bed bugs is bad enough, but the complete lack of emergency response from the management company made the situation far worse. We will never stay at this property or book with First Chair Property Management again.
