The accommodation
Our Abuela - a Linssen Grand Sturdy® 40.9 AC is both spacious and comfortable - the perfect motor yacht for your family holiday.

LIVING "AT ITS BEST

Linssen stands for outstanding quality and reliability. The perfect room layout and well thought-out details bring that holiday feeling right from the start. The inviting saloon with seating area, dinette and galley offers everything you need to feast and relax with the family. But the aft deck with its cosy lounge is where you will spend most of your time and enjoy the proximity to the water.

Three sleeping cabins, two bathrooms with shower and toilet as well as spacious wardrobes and many storage compartments offer enough space for belongings and privacy.

EQUIPMENT "ALL THERE"

Completely newly equipped with crockery, cooking pots, cutlery, glasses, coffee machine, hand, shower and tea towels, freshly made beds and much more.

Since we also use our Abuela ourselves, you will discover many details on board that make life a little bit more comfortable. Unlike with pure charter yachts.

THE DRIVE AREA

Our harbour "van der Laan" in Maasbracht is an excellent starting point for various cruises for your holiday. Depending on the time available and your personal taste. You will find peace and relaxation in the extensive nature reserve where wild Konik horses and cattle graze.

Maastricht offers quality gastronomy and culture heading south along the Zuid Willemsvaart, where you can moor in the historic city harbour. Liège, long a commercial and cultural centre in the French-speaking part of Belgium, invites you to eat delicious waffles, and along the leisurely meandering Meuse, interesting sights await discovery in Namur, Dinant and the north of France.

On the Willemsvaart, you can explore magnificent historic sites such as Rekem, voted the most beautiful village in Flanders in 2010, and the old garrison town of Leopoldsburg. The designer outlets in the village of Maasmechelen offer great shopping opportunities. From the small transit harbours you have access to the famous cycle path network. Relax with one of the countless Belgian beers in one of the many waterfront terrace cafés.

Our base is located in the middle of the Meuse Lakes area, which is the largest connected water sports area in BENELUX with 3000 hectares of water. Heading north, you can reach Zeeland or Friesland in two to three days. The bishop's town of Roermond with its designer outlet and many small boutiques, cafés and restaurants as well as the marina Oolderhuuske with its Mediterranean ambience are highlights along the route. Continuing towards Venlo, you will reach the Leukermeer and the Mooker Plassen, among other places, as well as Willemstad, Breda, Heusen or even further into Friesland.

And to the south, in the Belgian provinces of Limburg, Liège, Antwerp, Flemish Brabant and Walloon Brabant, cities such as Antwerp, Mechelen, Leuven, Brussels and Charleroi on the Sambre River await you with a multifaceted kaleidoscope of cultural and culinary highlights.

Whether you are guided by one of our suggested cruises or simply want to find out more - we wish you lots of fun and a fantastic holiday on our Abuela.

W-Lan, gas, instruction, parking space included.

The boat is handed over to you with a full tank and you return it with a full tank. The petrol station Tullemanns in Maasbracht is not only "probably the cheapest petrol station in the Netherlands" but also just around the corner.

Linssen yachts are very economical. As a rule, it is enough to drive at 1500 RPM. Our Abuela consumes between 3.5 and 4 litres of diesel per hour. You can read the current consumption at any time via the on-board instruments.

Deposit:
1500€ in cash or bank transfer 14 days before the start of the cruise. The deposit is equal to the excess of the fully comprehensive insurance.

Final cleaning 220€.

Additional optional service:
Skipper training, also as part of your cruise.
One-way trips by arrangement with follow-on crew.
Day charter, weekend charter and long-term charter on request.

The handover takes place in the Marina van der Laan, jetty C7. You can board the boat on Saturdays from 14:00 and must leave it swept clean by 10:00 on Saturdays. Other arrangements are possible.

We, 7 friends had a perfect weekend on the Abuela. Our host Oliver was very helpfull with ideas for routes and tipps for restaurants and fun activities. We imediately felt friends with him and aswell home on his boat. His introdution how to drive the Abuela was fun, he is a very calm and warm Person.
