On the Water — Your Options Three ways to get out on Lake Orono during your stay: - Bring your own boat — a slip will be made available for your use at our private docks - Rent our pontoon — perfect for the whole group to cruise, fish, or just float (see Pontoon Rental below) - Book a guided fishing experience — the host's bass boat and lift are private and not included in the rental, but a guided fishing trip for up to 2 guests is available by request. Target 40" northern pike or 4lb largemouth and smallmouth bass right here on Lake Orono. Inquire for availability and pricing.
Pontoon Rental Make your stay unforgettable — a pontoon rental is available for guests May through September at $385/day. Perfect for cruising Lake Orono, fishing, or just floating with the whole group. Contact host to book in advance.
Stay Connected 1GB high-speed internet keeps everyone connected — whether you're working remotely for a few days or just streaming movies after a day on the lake.
Orono Park — Right on the Lake Orono Park is a 28-acre family destination park on the west shore of Lake Orono — and it's spectacular. Here's what's waiting for your group: - A long, wide, sandy swimming beach with kayak rentals available right on site - A large splash pad open daily 10am–8pm, Memorial Day through Labor Day, overlooking the beach and lake - A destination treehouse-style playground with inclusive equipment for all ages - Lighted pickleball courts and sand volleyball courts - A skate park, public fishing pier, off-leash dog park, and paved trails - A large pavilion plus three shelters with grills, picnic areas, and clean restrooms
Essentially a full resort — free, public, and steps from the same lake you're already on. Families with kids can easily spend an entire day here without spending a dime.
The Neighborhood You're not "up north" — you're 35 minutes from Minneapolis with grocery stores, restaurants, coffee shops and shopping all nearby. But step outside and it feels like a world away.
