Book a stay in our National Treasure, designated a Historic Place by the US Dept of Interior #87001983. Step back in time to the 1770's, when America became America. Then step inside and imagine what untold stories the walls have witnessed over the last 250 years.

Occupied continuously as a farmhouse until 1970, when it fell vacant, The Widow Donaldson's Place has been painstakingly restored to its original state, evolving into one of the best-preserved and largest log cabins still standing. Our adjoining Stone Cottage has been transformed into a media area for those wishing to catch up on news, game of the day, or to just relax in. Some records indicate the Stone Cottage pre-dates the Cabin, circa 1751, and was used as a residence while construction of the Cabin took place.

Located in Fort Loudon, PA, there is much to see and do.
- You are within a mere mile of two frequented tourist sites; the restored 1756 British outpost, constructed to protect local settlers, and the popular Goldfish Barn Wedding Venue Events Center, where "I Do's" abound.
- Conveniently located to many Civil War sites and battlefields; Gettysburg, Antietam, Harpers Ferry, to name but a few.
- Within a short drive you will also find Whitetail Mountain Ski Resort and Golf Course as well as the Penn National Golf Club for winter and summer activities.
- Don't pass by our numerous country roadside fruit and vegetable stands without stopping to enjoy their fresh goodness.

- The living room with comfortable seating in enjoyed year-round and provides extra comfort to cozy up to a book next to the decorative fireplace with lights

Cabin Second Floor
- Bedroom #1: King-size bed, antique desk, smart TV
- Sitting area: a nod to the history of the house
- Full Bathroom: accessed from the hallway is equipped with a pristine walk-in shower
- Access to the peaceful balcony with rocking chairs

Cabin Third Floor:
- Bedroom #2: Two Queen-sized beds, children's books, small desk, futon couch, and smart TV

Stone Cottage:
Transformed into a modern media and game room . This provides additional living space and privacy, perfect for groups or families needing separate areas for relaxation and entertainment.
