About the host
Hosted by Niki Doyle
I live in Honolulu, since 2007. I'm currently running 2 businesses and going to school for my PhD in Clinical Psychology. I love to travel, which helps with being a host. I am always comparing what other people offer when I stay at their places and adapt good ideas into my short term vacation home.
Why they chose this property
We chose this neighborhood because of the unit itself. It is a very unique space in Hawaii and the high ceilings and open floor plan was very appealing. We also appreciated the security of the building, with 24 hour security available and on site, it helps give the building an excellent feel and that our guests will be taken care of.
Another reason to choose this location is the downtown food scene, and the proximity to Aloha Tower Marketplace, and Chinatown. It is a historic neighborhood with epic restaurants, bars, and clubs. It might not be in a resort area but it is located centrally to everything and has a great atmosphere.
What makes this property unique
Our property is a huge loft. It gives the space the feeling of being larger than it already is and makes it a good place for families and groups go spend their time. Not being in crowded resort areas also helps give the pool area easy access and generally not crowded. It is also relatively quiet in the evenings. It's walkable to historical places such as Iolani Palace and Honolulu Museum. It's an opportunity to explore parts of Honolulu that you might miss if staying in one of the resort areas.
