For lovers of snow-covered winter landscapes, we’re happy to lend you our snowshoes—a special experience that lets you glide effortlessly through seemingly untouched white forests or across frozen lakes.

The perfect holiday spot for anglers, cyclists, hikers, or even those who just want to do nothing at all. A beautiful bike path, the Klarälvsbanan, winds its way for about 100 km through Värmland’s natural landscape; a rowing boat is available for rowing enthusiasts, and canoes and bicycles can also be rented. And if you enjoy eating ice cream in the summer, you can get some just a 10-minute walk away—homemade by Lakene Ostgård.

Haven’t seen a moose yet? There’s even a guarantee for that: at the moose park, just a 20-minute drive away, you can't only see them but also learn a lot of interesting facts about them.
Or would you like to play a round of golf? Just 10 km away is Uddeholms Golf Club, with a very well-maintained course right on Lake Rådasjön.

For hunters and foragers, late summer and fall offer a true paradise—lingonberries, blueberries, chanterelles, porcini mushrooms, birch mushrooms, and more—so you can easily gather ingredients for many a meal right from the forest.

The rolling landscape, with its red-and-white cottages and vast birch and conifer forests, exudes a relaxed and peaceful atmosphere and is somewhat reminiscent of Astrid Lindgren’s Bullerbü. At the same time, you can feel the vastness of this beautiful country—here, you can truly “breathe.”
