Very comfortable and great views

A very comfortable base for an active holiday. If you dont have a car, the house is quite a walk uphill but the views are stunning. We enjoyed our stay very much. The hosts, Patrick and Natalie were very helpful and friendly.

Drop-dead views from an immaculate apartment above Engelberg

This house is very well equipped and comfortable, with an unusually good kitchen. The deck has some of the best views anywhere. Be prepared to hike uphill from town (or your parked car), but it's pretty pleasant walking.

Beautiful little chalet in Engelberg

Everything is as advertised. The place is neat, clean, and very functional - with fantastic views from the balcony. Parking on the side of the road is only for 30 minutes to load and unload and longterm parking requires driving into town. The walk back from the public parking lot (47 CHF for 5 days) is 7 minutes or so. Engelberg is charming and there are many opportunities to go on great hikes in the summer. I would definitely recommend the place.

Beautiful accommodation

We had a fantastic time staying in this lovely chalet. Being in an elevated postition the views of Engelberg are breathtaking. Being able to sit out on the balcony and relax enjoying the vista was such a bonus.We've stayed in a lot of holiday lets over the years but this one beats the lot when it comes to how well-equipped it is; it really is a home-from-home. Importantly the accommodation is spotless and has been well looked after. It's just a 5 minute walk into Engelberg where there is a good selection of shops, restaurants and bars. Being in an elevated position, there are a number of steep steps leading up to the chalet which wasn't a problem for us but might be for those lesser-abled. The visitors guide book in the property is extremely useful giving the owner's personal reviews on local eateries etc. The online listing mentioned a hot tub which turned out to be an error on VRBO's part so we have still given the accuracy of listing 5 stars as it was not a fault of the owner. We would definately recommend this property and look forward to stayinghere again.
