The house was built in 1908 by master tailor Cord Hespenheide and his wife Dorothea and has been in the family ever since.

The house has been completely renovated in recent years with great attention to detail.

In the process, many old materials and items (e.g., interior doors) were reused or restored to their original design (e.g., the staircase, including the railing).

Some items from the old tailor’s workshop can still be found in the house.

The house is equipped with a controlled ventilation system, and a gas heating system provides hot water and keeps the house warm.

The house is idyllically situated in a green, rural setting.

The renovation work was completed in 2023.

The Dat Schniederhus is a detached holiday home in Germany that accommodates 4–6 people. It spans two floors with a total of 144 m² of living space. The ground floor features a well-equipped kitchen with a dining area, a spacious living room, a guest bathroom, a bedroom with a 1.40-meter-wide bed, and a spacious hallway.

The upper floor has three bedrooms: The first bedroom has a 1.40 m wide bed, the second bedroom has a 1.80 m wide double bed, and the third bedroom also has a 1.80 m wide double bed. There is also a bathroom with a shower and toilet, as well as a cosy hallway with a reading nook.

The kitchen is very well-equipped and includes a refrigerator, a freezer, a dishwasher, an oven, a 4-burner ceramic cooktop, a microwave, a coffee maker, a kettle, an immersion blender, a toaster, and a large dining table with 6 chairs. The living room features a flat-screen TV, a radio/CD player, a foosball table, games for all ages, as well as various seating options and antiques.

There are flat-screen TVs in every bedroom and in the living room. The upstairs bathroom features a shower, a toilet, a sink, a lighted mirror, a hair dryer, and a toothbrush cup. A high chair and a travel cot can be provided upon request, and toys are available.

The holiday home offers free Wi-Fi and satellite TV. Free parking is available on-site. Pets are not allowed, and this is a smoke-free home. Shopping options are within walking distance, including a village store with a butcher and a bakery.

Smoke detectors are installed in every room and in the hallways. Cleaning supplies such as a clothes rack, vacuum cleaner, broom, and dustpan are also provided. A linen package including bed linens, hand towels, and a bath towel can be provided for a fee of 12 euros per person.

There are outdoor seating areas and a large green space. A grill can be set up. The house can only be booked in its entirety, and the daily rate starts at 180.00 euros. The final cleaning fee is 120.00 euros, and the minimum rental period is 2 nights. Check-in is between 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. (later by arrangement), and check-out should be by 10:00 a.m. For long-term rentals, the house is cleaned every 10 days for an additional fee.
