Welcome to the Seehütte Neusiedlersee. This romantic chalet measures approximately 38 m² and stands on a wooden platform of approximately 100 m² directly in the waters of Lake Neusiedl. Surrounded by reeds and offering a view that lets you escape the daily grind.
Pure nature, views of the reeds and the lake, holiday, and relaxation. Go fishing, take a boat ride, and enjoy magical sunsets in the evening with a glass of local wine. Start the morning with breakfast on the private terrace, watch the storks, and let your mind wander. THE NO NEWS - NO SHOES LIFESTYLE ​ The private lakeside cabin is located in Ruster Bay and is accessible via a wooden pier (even without a boat). The holiday home can accommodate up to 4 people, though space is limited by the tent-shaped roof. But life mostly takes place outdoors anyway. The lakeside cabin is fully equipped with mosquito screens and offers air conditioning and heating. ​Our holiday home has a separate, ground-level bedroom with a double bed. The other two double beds (slatted frames with mattresses—due to space constraints, there is no full bed with legs and a headboard) are romantically situated directly under the cabin’s roof and can be reached via a ladder. The beds are therefore not recommended for people with limited mobility. In addition, the Seehütte is equipped with a sleeper sofa that we’ll be happy to set up as a bed upon request (please send us an extra email regarding this).
THE CHALET ON LAKE NEUSIEDL—ROMANCE, A GETAWAY, AND FAMILY VACATION
The Lake Neusiedl cabin features a small kitchen with a stove, dishwasher, refrigerator, freezer, and a Nespresso machine. A toilet and bathroom with a sink are located inside the cabin. For showering—in true glamping style—we have an outdoor shower with hot water where you can shower in the open air. Please note that the shower and the size of the cabin are, despite everything, more reminiscent of a sailing or camping holiday, and that space inside the cabin is quite limited. Anyone booking this type of holiday is consciously choosing a minimalist and simple experience—not a luxury holiday. By the way, we’ve sourced the furnishings for the lakeside cabin from all over the world: old teak benches from Bali, a beautiful chest from India, and a wonderful dining table that comes from an old wine cellar in Burgenland.
BOATING – RELAXING – SAILING – SURFING
In front of the cabin, at our private dock, there’s a small, simple boat with an electric motor that you can use for romantic outings on Lake Neusiedl. Take the boat along an idyllic waterway directly to Lake Neusiedl. You’re welcome to use our simple electric boat—which requires no licence—and comes with two new Torqeedo batteries, free of charge during your stay. Please note, however, that use is only possible if the lake’s water level permits it and the boat is in working order. The boat is free of charge and not included in the travel price. Please be aware that we cannot offer a refund if the boat is unavailable or if the water level prevents trips.
You can swim in front of the lakeside cabin. However, Lake Neusiedl is not very deep throughout. A large sun deck with cushioned seats invites you to sunbathe and relax. In addition to the dining table inside the cabin, there is also a large dining table outside on the terrace with a cosy corner bench. The cabin is located in the middle of a nature reserve and is surrounded by water and reeds. Lake Neusiedl and the historic old town of Rust are part of the UNESCO World Heritage Site. In doing so, UNESCO recognises the cultural landscape of Lake Neusiedl as having exceptional value for all of humanity.

Electric boat available free of charge for the entire stay
A simple electric boat is moored in front of the Sonnendeck lakeside cabin, which we’re happy to make available to you free of charge during your stay—provided water levels permit. Please note, however, that you are liable for any damage to the boat, and trips are only possible if water levels permit and the boat is in working order. Since we are happy to provide our boat to you free of charge (at no extra cost!), please note that if it is not possible to use the boat (e.g., because the water level is too low or the boat is technically inoperable), no refund will be issued for the unused boat. The boat does not require a boating licence, but you must be at least 18 years old to operate it. Use is at your own risk and liability.
