Beautiful home in a beautiful setting

The description on the booking site really understated the beauty of this holiday home. We were impressed by the tasteful interior and art, and also by the very friendly welcome by the sexton of the neighbouring church. Clearly a lot of effort has been put into renovating this house in a classic / antique style while making it very liveable at the same time. Then there's the spacious lawn out in front where you can relax in the shade of an actual church (ruin), and the village of Huttenrode which, while not as 'fancy' as closeby Blankenburg is still very charming. The town is also well-situated to explore the wider Harz area, close to e.g. the Bode gorge.

Nette Wohnung mit spartanischer Einrichtung.

Pros: Es war sauber, die Dame beim Check In war sehr freundlich und hat uns herzlich willkommen. Die Wohnung war sauber, und ausreichend Platz. Cons: Leider gar nicht für Kleinkinder geeignet. Keine Möglichkeit die Treppe zu sichern, der Herd (Knöpfe) konnten nicht versenkt werden und waren somit ständig der Anlauf für die Kleinkinder. Die Töpfe waren alt und abgenutzt, so das bei Benutzung immer die Gefahr bestand, dass sich die Beschichtung ablöst und im Essen landet. Das Doppelbett war leider unglaublich unbequem, so das wir nach der ersten Nacht starke Rückenschmerzen hatten, die nach jeder weiteren Nacht nicht besser wurden. Auch das Sofa war mehr als unbequem, da es sehr durch gesessen war. Die Wände waren mit wenig Sorgfalt gestrichen bzw. renoviert worden.

Außergewöhnliche Einrichtung, großartige Umgebung und Gastgeber

Pros: Sehr gute Vorabinformation und Absprache vor der Anreise. Das Apartment ist außergewöhnlich und liebevoll eingerichtet. Der Gartenbereich an der schönen Kirchenruine ist sehr schön, beim nächsten Besuch werden wir dort auch Zeit verbringen. Gastgeber und Betreuung vor Ort sind unglaublich freundlich. Cons: Es hat alles gepasst. Für fünf Personen dürfte es etwas mehr Geschirr sein, das schont die Spülmaschine- aber das ist jammern auf hohem Niveau. Wir kommen bestimmt noch einmal zurück.

Wunderschöner Ort, herzlicher Empfang, ganz tolle Wohnung in uns

Pros: Eine ganz tolle Lage direkt neben einer wunderschönen beleuchteten Kirchenruine mit einem großen gepflegten Garten. Alle Möbel drinnen und draußen sehr geschmackvoll. Die Küche großzügig eingerichtet. Die Betten von vorzüglicher Qualität. Frau Rockstedt vor Ort von unschlagbarer Alles Herzlichkeit. In unmittelbarer Nähe beziehungsweise direkt vor der Tür gibt es viel zu entdecken, schöne Wanderwege und viel Harzer Geschichte. Cons: Es gibt überhaupt keine Kritikpunkte

Pros: Anfang Juli haben wir einen wunderschönen Urlaub in Hüttenrode verbracht. Die Ferienwohnung hat uns sehr gefallen. Die rustikal, gemütliche Einrichtung, die Ausstattung der Küche, die vielen Karten/Bücher um sich über die Gegend zu informieren. Die Gastgeber haben den Charakter des alten Pfarrhaus mit viel Liebe zum Detail erhalten. Der Harz, mit seinen herrlichen Wandermöglichkeiten und die tolle Landschaft runden das Gesamtbild ab. Wir fühlten uns sehr wohl und können die Ferienwohnung jederzeit weiterempfehlen.
