About this property

Your Family's Smoky Mountain Basecamp: Hot Tub, Game Nights & Room for 12

Some of the best moments of a trip happen after the day's adventures end. At Cedar & Ember, that's means kids racing to claim the bunk beds, a steaming hot tub under the stars, and late-night laughs around the fire with the people you love most. Our 4-bedroom cabin sleeps 12, so everyone fits under one roof without anyone getting left out. Spend your days on the Parkway just 5 minutes away or a quick drive to the mountains then come home to the part of the trip everyone remembers.

The cabin was spotless and had everything our family needed, from kid-sized plates and cups to a cozy kids' corner stocked with books and toys. Our little ones were entertained the whole stay, which made the trip relaxing for the adults too. The hosts responded quickly to every question, and we can't wait to book again!

We're a family that hosts Cedar & Ember ourselves. When you message, you're talking to the owners, not a management company, and we usually reply within minutes. We fell for the Smokies the way most people do, on a trip where everyone came along and nobody wanted to go home. We set the cabin up the way we'd want it for our own family, down to the kid-sized plates and the extra blankets. We'll give you your space during your stay, but we're always a message away if you need a restaurant recommendation or a hand with anything at all.

Why they chose this property

We wanted somewhere that felt like the mountains at night but put you minutes from everything during the day. Our cabin sits in a quiet community just west of the Pigeon Forge Parkway, so evenings on the deck are peaceful, with mountain views and the kind of quiet you drove all this way for. Then you're 1.4 miles from the Parkway, under 5 miles from Dollywood, and about 8 miles from Gatlinburg. The roads in are easy and paved, which matters when you arrive after dark with a full car. Less time driving, more time together.

What makes this property unique

Room for 12 without anyone getting left out. Four bedrooms and three full baths mean grandparents get a king on the main floor with no stairs at the entry, the kids race for the bunk beds, and everyone still has somewhere to land. There's a nook stocked with books and toys just for them, a game area where family rivalries get settled, and a putting spot outside. Evenings happen on the covered deck, with a private hot tub drained and sanitized before every stay, a fireplace, string lights, and an outdoor TV for the game. It's built for the trips where everyone comes along.
