About this property

Stunning villa in the North of the Island near Port Nicholas

Gorgeous terracotta roofed villa built in traditional style in 2001 with stunning panoramic views over the sea on a hill near Port Nicholas on the North East tip of Zakynthos. Sleeping 8 this lovely family villa with a large private pool, Air Con, and sun patios is 5 minutes from lovely sandy beaches, the olives groves and Port Nicholas near the blue grotto and ship wreak beach. There is also a wonderful cabin with double bed, top floor, bathroom and kitchen to rent along side the main villa, therefore sleeping 10/12. (Please ask about extra prices for cabin costs depending on the time of year.) This is a great island to visit both in and out of high season. In June, September and October it is less crowded, but still very warm and great for walking! There are direct flights from April through to the end of October.


Sailing club, the Peligoni: to enjoy the windsurfing, dingy sailing tuition, water skiing,walking, tennis, painting classes and family atmosphere. It is very close to the villa and great for teenagers to meet others and have some fun away from mums and dads!! Good for adults too...also has 2 restaurants and a pool.

Port Nicholas: Port Nicholas has wonderful boat trips to the ship wreak, the blue caves and the other islands nearby such as Kefalonia.
These can all be booked and taken from the port just 5 minutes from the villa.
Wonderful trips for the children
Fishing and renting boats is also possible from here.
There are also some great restaurants on the way to the port and in the port itself, right on the waterfront.

flying trips: From the airport you can take small plane trips around the island, which are quite amazing, well worth the very cheap cost of 180 Euro for 2 people.
It is a great way to view the whole island from the air.

Nous avons passé un très bon séjour sur cette île magnifique, surtout sur la côte ouest et ses paysages magiques. La maison est superbe, la vue sur la baie d’Agios Nickolaos est splendide. La maison est conforme à la description, très propre et confortbale pour kes 9 personnes que nous étions. Merci à Vicki pour son accueil et sa réactivité. Wilfrid

Why they chose this property

The peace and tranquillity of this villa is wonderful. The views cannot be matched and the privacy with the large pool and being near the sea make it a magical place
You can lie under the stars at night , no mosquitoes up here! The breeze at night is a blessing but there is air con in the bedrooms too. you have to come to Homer's hideaway to escape and relax..............

What makes this property unique

very private on a large plot surrounded by olive trees with a large pool and many terraces to lie on! plus the view is 180 degrees of the rest of the island, the peleponese and the island of Kefalonia. Escape to the North of the island where you can take boats from the Port to other islands but where the pace of life is much more relaxing! So many secret local beaches, and where the locals are unique!
