We don’t live in the centre but a bit off the beaten track in a beautiful, rural, and quiet setting. Since Federal Highway 101 runs through our town, a bus runs hourly between Annaberg and Aue and back. The town features a Technical Museum, home to one of the largest pumped-storage power plants in Europe. Brand new is “Glück Auf—The Adventure Park”—a children’s adventure park right in town. You can hike and bike around the upper and lower reservoirs. There’s also a railway bridge, nicknamed the “Matchstick Bridge” because of its many struts.
