Location of the Accommodation

The accommodation is located in the centre of 35315 Homberg (Ohm), in a quiet residential area. The historic half-timbered old town and Homberg Castle are just a few minutes’ walk away, and the Kamax company is only 1.5 km away.
The starting points for the well-known Schächerbach and Felsenmeer hiking trails are within a 10- to 15-minute walk. The “Hartschlucht” recreational area is also just a three-minute drive away,

The supermarket and the bakery are a 5-minute walk away.
A playground suitable for children and toddlers under 3 years old is a 5-minute walk away. The well-known “Buchholzbrücke” forest playground is only 3 km away.
Amöneburg is just 13 km away. It’s 22 km to Marburg and 35 km to Giessen.


We are your hosts

We are a young family with 3 small children and 2 cats (no access to the ELW).
If you don’t mind the possibility of hearing our little ones or running into them in the garden (the children’s bedtime is from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m.), you’re very welcome here.
Cleanliness, a very high standard, and the absolute satisfaction of our guests are our top priorities.


Here’s where you’ll be staying

Update on the apartment video (from November 2025): We’ve built a continuous path from the street to the garden path. In addition, the entire area in front of the garden gate has been covered with gravel to make it drivable, so that our guests now have a private parking space available on our property. We’ll produce a new video as soon as possible!

The 105-square-meter apartment is located in the basement of our detached single-family home and has its own entrance (accessible via the garden; five steps to the door). Free parking is available in front of the house as well as on our property.
The apartment is bright and inviting and features high-quality, fully equipped amenities (including a fitness room, sauna, private terrace with patio furniture, and a bathroom with a shower and corner bathtub).

It has one bedroom (1 double bed, 1.60 m – roller shutters available) as well as a large living room with a sofa bed (additional double bed, 1.40 m – roller shutters are also available in the living room), so the apartment can accommodate up to 4 people. The living room features a large TV, a DVD/Blu-ray player, a Dolby Surround sound system (Bluetooth-enabled), darts, and a spacious desk with a desk chair.
The apartment offers free Wi-Fi, as well as a fiber-optic LAN connection at the desk.

The fully equipped kitchen features a dining table with four chairs, a 4-burner stove with an exhaust hood, and an oven. A dishwasher, refrigerator, large freezer, Senseo coffee maker, toaster, microwave, and electric kettle are also provided. We provide dish soap, dishwasher tablets, dish sponges, and tea towels free of charge, as well as common basic food items such as salt, pepper, oil, and sugar.

The spacious bathroom features a brick-built corner shower and a large corner bathtub. A hair dryer, toilet paper, hand soap, shampoo, and shower gel are provided free of charge.
The apartment offers its own fitness/wellness room with a sauna. The fitness equipment can be used free of charge; we charge 5 euros per sauna session.
The bathroom, fitness/wellness room, and the large hallway between them are equipped with radiant floor heating.

We provide towels, sauna towels, bed linens, and tea towels free of charge. The washing machine and dryer can be used upon request.

Smoking is not permitted in the apartment. Ashtrays are located on your private terrace and outside the additional kitchen exit (partially covered exit).
The outdoor security cameras are turned off during guests’ stays.
A first-aid kit for minor everyday injuries is available in the living room cabinet.
Final cleaning, as well as electricity and water charges, are included in the price.
The apartment is equipped with smoke detectors, carbon monoxide detectors, and a fire extinguisher.
